Parra should get rid of a few players and then bring in Izzy, then bring in a few youngsters from Toyota Cup and pay them 20 cents each to make up the 25 man squad
 Are you Schubert's bag carrier?Oh FFS we're not risking losing him. There are teams with the capspace. St George has room. The Warriors have room. Dogs always have room. Many teams have room. Parra will end up finding a way to get him, for his WHOLE salary, but if they don't there are other options that don't result in him playing in another country or code.
The real issue here is how f**king Schubert thinks he can value a player. So many different things go into a player's value, and just because he left the game as a star doesn't mean he's still worth 400k after spending two years turning himself into a stick insect. He could quite conceivably be only reserve grade standard when he returns.
It's like, for instance, if a star player is seriously injured (or a string of injuries) and is out of the game for two years. Is Schubert going to say he still has to be paid 600k a year because that's what he was worth before he had triple knee reconstructions or had a shoulder rebuilt a couple of times?
It's an absolute farce. If Izzy wants to play for 150k, provided there's nothing going on under the table, he can go for it.
No way they can let this happen.
What a poor ran club. Trying something like that on screams of desperation.
Can't wait to Hoppas deal at 800k kicks in.
As for the J.Morris thing, I am not sure what you are getting at. Some suggest we lost J.Morris because Gaz didn't go to French Rugby early enough, however Gaz and J.Moz play on different sides of the field. J.Moz was firmly entrenched at the Dogs and wasn't in the picture when Gaz came back as far as I am aware.
Why should the rules be changed to accomodate someone who turned thier back on Rugby League as a f**king PUBLICITY STUNT? Israel Folau whored himself out to the AFL when he knew that doing so would hurt the NRL.

And if, as others have said, he's not going to be much good in his first year back then let him go off and play Rugby Union for a year and then come back to his precious Eels when they can fit him under the cap.
The former AFL player wants to play for one club, Parramatta, but is understood to be frustrated with the delay.
Agreed. This seems a typical Ricky Stuart led media charade/stunt. Time and time again this bloke is involved in whinging about something to get an exemption/refereeing interpretation for his mob.
Should not be allowed to happen. The clubs that have room to move under the cap should be the only club allowed to go after him. Its not like he has a long term affiliation with the joint, he's never played with them, never even been remotely linked with them... until now.
So why can't Parra pay him a lot less next year and back end his deal, when Issy himself agrees to it? Who agrees on each player's minimum cap value? It's not like Parra are going to win the comp next year, even if they have Folau playing for free.
Is he the only one? Many coaches do this either for recruitment or in post match conferences des is a pro at it
And why arnt we allowed to pursue him? We will most likely lose players to get him and if so then that's our business. Just coz we are tight for cash doesn't mean we can't go after him if we are able to let guys go
But at least we are openly honest with it unlike 2 other clubs who deceived their way to success
Lose the players first, clear the space, and then pursue him. The club should not be asking for or expecting an exemption to be clear to breach the cap.
You are so full of shit, what about all these other clowns that have come back, you illiterates are so predictable in your responses!!Israel Folau can go f**k himself. He turned his back on Rugby League so no favours should be given to anyone just to bring him back. Sign him for $1 otherwise get the f**k out of here.
Which other clowns left the NRL to participate in a publicity stunt designed to undermine the NRL and then came crawling back, dickhead? You are so full of shit, what about all these other clowns that have come back, you illiterates are so predictable in your responses!!
Or let em go over the cap but they aren't eligible for competition points until they are under again.
