If that was the case the NRL could easily make that happen at the last game of the regular season. It would make far more sense for them to do that than several weeks from the finals.. That is, if you consider the game is rigged.

If you consider the 1st half as being rigged,as well as the 2nd half, then you have whats an even play-field.

Your mob will continue to get better as Parra will prove to be a nuisance for the rest of the season. At least your consistency has been better than 75% of the comp, which will bide well for 2017.

The integrity of the referees should most definitely be in question this year......

That try they took off us was bullshit, I have seen them given this year after they took that one off us earlier in the year.

That was no knock on at the start of the second half and then giving them a penalty for nothing more than the Panthers did all game gave them a try and started the onslaught.

We have to take blame for not showing enough commitment during that period but the refs being a joke didn't help......

Frustrated is the word I would use, not proud. We should have won, even with everyone we have out.

What pissed me off was that the Bunker said that we ran into the gap created by Edwards - totally ignoring the fact that Cartwright had every opportunity to make the tackle, if he wasn't such a shit defender.

That decision took the onus off of Cartwright to make a good read, and punished good footy and a bad defensive read.

The game is f**ked tbh.

Cheers, man.

You guys were electric in the second half.

Bahh. You're a bunch of drama queens. What would any of you expected if the side we finished with was our starting 13 in the opening round?

Scott is the centres was a massive blunder that cost us the game.

Gutherson should have started the second half defending there and we would have been fine.

Arthur cost us that game.

Apart from that, was happy with the continued good effort. A couple of times we nearly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and that says a lot about the team.

I agree.

I love BA, but that was a cock-up, Imo.

Thought Mannah, Alvaro and Guth were outstanding today.

My main gripe was De Gois' service out of dummy half. On numerous occasions our halves were getting the ball in shocking positions on the last to make a kick. His defence is great but he is fast becoming very Matt Keating-esque. We simply can't go into next season with him as our starting hooker.

Question - the scrum penalty.

The commentators said it was for Penrith only putting 5 in the scrum, but they also ran the scrum clock down.

So...was the penalty for that, or 5 in the scrum?

We only packed 5 in the scrum.I was absolutely livid in how we could make such an embarrassing blunder. It was worse than Smith's brain explosion last week v Sharks because the balance of the game was riding on it.Awful mistake.

Cool bananas.

Thanks for the clarification.

Agreed, can't believe we are signing IDG for one let alone two years. His service is terrible, bring back the Turtle!!

Hindsight is f**king sensational

We f**ked up ... shit happens ... we should probably have never been in that game to start with
This. We got home last week. We just failed against a better opposition. No way we lose that If Jennings stays fit. Easy to blame BA for this, but I guess hindsight is a wonderful thing. We've had absolutely no luck at all with injuries, and still troubling teams. Yes the loss hurts and is deflating, but I have no doubt the team will turn up again next week. The team has performed above and beyond what's expected of them. They can take our points, but they can't take the heart and steel BA has implanted into his team.

Not only did we lose our first choice centres, but our backups are injured too. Both centres in reserve grade are on part time contracts with Wentworthville.

Takas looking good to be back next week.

Who knows about Norman though. Seems unlikely but I guess that's at the mercy of the NRL..

Gordon
Faraimo
Ma'u
Taka
French
Gutho
Robson

Hope upon hope Corey is back to we can at least have a backline made up of backs...

Injuries again, and poor refereeing cost us. That call against Fairamo (why was he looking to pass?) really hurt. Yet week after week we refuse to give up. Very proud of the side but the rate we are going lucky if we will have a fit 17 by the end of the season.

Anyone know when Taka is back?

I'd go as far to say that the halves have been criticised for our kicking game for a large part of the season and it's often whilst De Gois is on the field. They often have very little time because they're catching the ball either above their head, behind them or at their ankles.

I'd rather throw Robbo a lifeline as a stop gap if there are no long term options available...either that or maybe Wallace. Both can at least pass and if the Kearney years taught us anything, it's that hookers need to do more than tackle.

great effort by the boys.

It was 4 tries each.

Scott just had a bad day, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Jennings stays on we win.

The side is building nicely for 2017, we will give the Comp a real shake next year!

And gee Mannah / Alvaro 150 plus metres each. Moeroa had a great game too.

Very proud of the boys.
