Crazy how upset some of you get when Hindy makes a comment which goes against the thought they we are the greatest squad of all time.

Our edge depth is worrying. If Kiks goes down we are in real trouble imo. Same with a centre. Leaving a couple of squad spots and hoping we snag someone mid season leaves us short for the first 12 rounds.

I never said anything bad. I was being honest. I'm sure people on here know more about your juniors then I do so perhaps that's your depth. But to me they are guys who have no NRL experience and are unknown qualities. Odds are most need atleast a full season before they become a difference maker or even reliable NRL players. And that's best case.

The salary cap just doesn't allow too much depth. Most clubs are the same.

You come across as smug, and arrogant.

What you said was fine. When you post on to an opposition board immediately following a loss you’re going to cop some backlash regardless of what you say though. Read the room dude.

But I said you lacked depth 5 days ago before the game. I grew up in Penrith and they are my 2nd team. I have a soft spot for them.

The only thing this trial proved was that we are weaker than last year (Having lost Capewell, burton, Momirovski, May, Naden etc. That's not a surprise) and that with a few rep quality players out ontop of those losses we are not close to being the best team.

We saw last year with our origin guys out that even poor teams could best us. So of course a near full strength Eels side can pump us without Edwards, Cleary, Fish, Yeo and Leniu ontop of our departures.

I think we're looking at 3rd to 6th with this roster at or near full strength. It's not as strong as last year. The hunger is gone and realistically back to back is damn near impossible even with the same squad
How can you say the hunger is gone?

Well said. In fact very well said.

Sadly Hindy111 for many of us, (including me). That matters for little.

Personally I didn't take kindly to you lobbing in straight after a loss, to me although you were very polite, felt vulture like, as though ready to pick over the Penrith bones.

(I know that is not you're issue). But my response was a corelation to that feeling.

Hindy is always in this forum, win, lose or draw. Hardly a vulture. I don’t agree with every thing he says but he has decent input, doesn’t just say player X is shit without any thought. On the flip side it’s also good to have someone that doesn’t say ‘trust the process’, ‘the juniors will get us through’ etc everytime there’s questions about the squad.

if you’re going to be that sensitive over a trial loss, I reckon you might be in for a long season.
