Cheyse Blair needs a massive kick up the arse. Last night I saw him missing a tackle whilst still in motion and he simply gave up and didn't chase. (Pardon the pun).

History is repeating my friends similar to the early 90's, there are many players that need to be charged for impersonating first grade footballers.

was Graham he was smashing, more impressive.

Tim Mannah needs to develop mongrel. He's too much of a nice guy

that and an offload and he should get himself back into the Origin team.. good to see some form from him last night!

Some positives out of tonight:

Nathan Smith. Our attacking plays looks slicker with him at hooker. I hope he grabs his opportunity to finish out the season with both hands.

Luke Kelly. Class player. He and Sandow could form a very good combo there. Having the experience gained from having the rest of the season under his belt will only help him next season.

Joseph Paulo. Terrific player. Pity we had to let Mateo go only to find someone who almost plays the same way...

Negatives:

How sad is it to be in a position where we consider only losing by 20 points is a positive? 5 year plan...:sarcasm:

They tried to drop Burt at the start of the year and you f**king idiots (Eels fans) threw a hissy fit.

This club runs on politics and they need to appease the fans. Imagine if Anderson had realised Mortimer wasn't up to it and let him go at the end of 2009. Imagine if they tried to drop Burt now he's announced his retirement.

I'm worried if we sack Kearney that they'll give Hindy a massive contract to go around for one more year because "He's the only one who knows how to tackle!!!!"

Sadly, we get the team we deserve.

And you`re not an Eels fan?

Small price to pay, don`t you think? But, in any case, what makes you think that Stephen Kearney is the only 'coach' who can get rid of our dead-wood and recruit decent players; develop structures, etc? I mean, we have Nolan now; what do we need Kearney for? Seems to me he came to this club with some good ideas, but his inability to actually coach the NRL team, is actually making recruitment more difficult and preventing those plans from succeeding. Maybe we`ve got all we`re going to get out of Kearney - and all we need to get out of him.

Motivational speeches don't work in first grade football, its not junior footy where a coach delivers a spray and the team lifts

Players are motivated by coaches that they have confidence in. Confidence in their game-plans, their tactics, their ability to get the team to win matches. That`s what is meant by a motivational coach. Not a half-time spray. Don`t be silly.

Because he's a better fullback than a winger.

At fullback he can at least use some of his strengths. On the wing he offers nothing.

:lol::lol: What a load of rubbish! Doesn`t matter whether you`re right or wrong, you just have to try to win the argument, eh? Pathetic.

These guys are not only adults; they are professional athletes. They shouldn't need an idol's validation in order for them to perform.

If anything the on-field leaders are supposed to inspire them

You don`t really believe half this shit you write, do you? What exactly do you think Kearney`s role is, then?

No it's not like 2 of the best coaches going around in Hasler and Bellamy aren't known for giving their teams a spray at half time if they are unhappy with the performance of the team. Maybe you should tell them that it doesn't work
