Probably we'll see during the game that Hayne to 1,bev to 2,taka to 4

Hoff goes off or spells king from hooks

Of course taka will switch to the backs to cover an injury in the backs
Why would you waste an interchange resting a winger FFS?

BA is either pulling a swifty or picking the team he thinks will do the job. We'll know in the next few weeks if we don't have success or if he doesn't learn a lesson.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. All I reckon is Kenny is a better player than Taka and Kenny should be on the bench. Also, IMO Taka would not have made the kiwi team had the Tongan and Samoans made themselves available.
Well as Pou already stated one of them got selected but it wasn’t Kenny. And assuming Kenny hasn’t elected to represent another nation, kiwiland could of picked him, so by your reckoning if the Tongans and Samoans stayed with kiwis then Kenny would be even further down the pecking order than Taka

Yeah its an interesting one having Taka over Kenny on the bench. We haven't seen anything to suggest Taka is a better forward than his usual centre spot but obviously Arthur has trained him as a forward during the off season so I hope he goes well. Disappointed Kenny hasnt got a spot but there's no doubt he'll make his way back in the side soon.

I reckon KE is on par with Manu and Tepai. I dont see either or any as a difference skill level wise.
And all better then Scott now. I guess the issue is minutes. Say Manu gives us 60mins that leaves 20 for Taka. And lets say Tepai gives him 20 of his thats 40.

Brown 65mins
Mannah 30
Alvaro 40

That leaves

105 mins for Matagi, Scott, Evans.

About 35mins each.

Taka has to be on bench or W.Smith. They give cover for the backline.1-7.
KE advantage is can play middle and wide like Tepai.

It is unlikely everyone will be fit during the year. KE will still play 20 + games in first grade this season if not i jured.

Taka's versatility is obviously a big plus on the bench, but I disagree that 1 - 7 requires coverage for injury.

But if BA rates him and Kramps close enough, then that's enough to tip it Taka's way.

I wouldn't mind betting though that size probably has more to do with it then anything.

Manu is cover for 1 to 7. Taka / smith don't need to be on the bench for cover.

Scott is a middle forward.
I reckon Manu will play 80 mins as usual.
Moeroa will probably play his usual 20 mins on the edge then moves to the middle with Taka taking his edge spot.

Gonna lead to a demarcation dispute ...ican just see the forwards union gettinginvolved mid season and strike action will be on the table

King picks it up from dummy half, looks to pass it to a rampaging forward, but they're in a huddle 10m back waving placards. Meanwhile Bill Shorten is in the stands with a smug look on his face.
