We won and we are still complaining!! Yeah we didn't play the best but the Tigers aren't that bad either. Has a side even had 50 or 60 points put on them this year ?

Yeah the Tigers had injuries and players out but so do we!!! But according to some the eels are the only side that shouldn't be affected by injuries.

Tigers have pretty much been in most of their games this year. Panthers only beat them last week by a few as they lost a centre during the game. The Tigers only a few weeks ago gave the bunnies a flogging.

What is wrong we our mentality? It's getting better each week. In our last 3 weeks we were actually behind at half time and still won, plus two of them were away from home. And we aren't meant to be able to win away from home.

Last night Tigers put 16 points on us in a short period of time but we were still able to regain control and win.

Hi Nice to meet you, we are Eels fans.

But really, no one should be happy with last night's game. happy with the result, of course, but the game was pretty sub-standard. Credit to them for sticking it out and pulling out the win, but it shouldn't have been a nail biter, the Tigers aren't playing well and we made so many stupid mistakes.

I actually though that Morgs did Ok last night. Certainly not a "weak link".

Winning games when not playing well is what the top teams do. It is losing the games that you shouldn't that is the problem. I am happy with a win as long as they also know they need to improve.

Agree. They'll certainly need to improve with the Dogs next at ANZ.

Yep. I hope the players get a chance to let their hair down a bit over the next few days with the bye this week. It couldn't have been a fun place to be over the last 6 weeks or so when we were losing game we should have won, Sandow and BA seemingly butting heads and then the Foran Fiasco... But they've worked hard it seems and have had a dig every week. That should be rewarded and then come back hungry for more success Friday week V the Dogs...

They must have been the only people in the stadium that thought it was a try. I was sitting with Tigers supporters and they didn't even bat an eyelid to the no try call.

http://rugbyleagueweek.com.au/the-referee-howlers-coming/

AS long as our match officials keep making howlers like James Tedesco’s ‘No Try’ that was really a try, it won’t matter whether they watch the game in a bunker, in Tony Archer’s man cave or in bloody Siberia.

While ever video refs insist on backing the on-field referees guesswork just so he doesn’t end up looking bad, then we’ll keep getting clangers like last night.

The message that should have gone down to Gavin Badger was: “Not a bad guess, Badg, but we’ve got this, mate. We’ll fix this.”

But after watching five replays – all five of which looked like TRY to everyone else except the video refs – they inexplicably backed Badger’s stab in the dark and posted NO TRY.

Later in the game Badg had another crack when he ruled TRY for a leaping Kevin Naiqama in the corner. Maybe the ref was so impressed with Naiqama’s acrobatics that he thought he must have pulled off a miracle so he went upstairs in the affirmative.

Another guess, another blunder, but at least this one was corrected by the video men.

Seriously, this business of the on-field referee being told to make a ruling before he sends the decision upstairs has to stop.

We’ve had far too many instances lately where the referee has clearly got it wrong but the video referee stays with the dud call because he is supposed to have irrefutable evidence to overturn.

The system is a joke and needs to be fixed.

Our referees either need to make a call on the spot and everyone can live with it, or send the decision upstairs for a ruling because they’re not sure whether a try was scored or not.

But please, no more of this guesswork before the decision goes upstairs. It’s only muddying the waters for the blokes in the video box and that can’t be a good thing for players, coaches and fans sweating on calls that will affect the result of big games in the run to the finals.

He knocks it on into Normans boot and the fact Norman is kicking it it looks like he has more pressure then he really had

Well, that's just it - he knocked the ball onto Norman's foot, ergo it was a knock-on. It was correctly ruled.
