I dunno where to put this post, so in here it goes lol....

I'm getting sick to death of hearing supporters at the ground abusing the sh*t out of Justin Poore. I thought he played well tonight, and he was unlucky to get called for that knock on.

The guy could make 200m, throw 10 offloads and score a hat trick and some of our so called supporters would still be abusing him.

x 50 million.

I was surrounded by some of the most abusive Parra fans yet tonight and Shark fans for that matter too. I thought the behaviour from both parties was disgusting.

On a side note, can not stand sideline commentators and grandstand experts, you do not know better than the first grade players and you certainly do not know better than our coach. If you want to do something constructive go spend your time in Sterlos watching the game, at least you'll keep the toll rolling over and the players and real members and fans don't have to hear your nonsense you drunk scum.

Some of the people sitting in bay 64 should lower their heads in absolute shame, I was embarrassed to be sitting around them.

In a team vying to win this years premiership Justin is being owned by many props and Tim Mannah is a comet leaving quite a long trail behind for Justin to catch up. Tonight, Justin was almost like marshmallow. Now this could be just a coaching/tactical issue which needs tinkering with. It seems we need two or three making a run up to get the defense in two minds. Currently both Poore and Fui are getting an x on the spot too early in a run up allowing a group of defenders to come in and blot there raids.

Mannah and Cayless can quickly/subtly shift direction, even with large angle movements but Poore can't seem to do this so he is just a straightforward battering ram and unfortunately he is not that effective. Fui appears to be carrying an injury in his knee/leg because his subtle lateral movement is nowhere near the standards he set last year making it very easy for defenders to nullify almost all his attacking raids.

I am not on any anti Justin Poore wagon but after closely watching his last two games he is not showing any signs of being a premirship winning front row prop/enforcer. He was easily tamed by Snowden, Douglas and co this evening and the Moanly props last Monday night easily handled Justin as well.

This is a message to Terry Leabeater.....

Dear Terry... what is it in Justin's game that needs tinkering with?????

You of all ex Eels premiership winning props must see the issues Justin is presently being challenged with.

Is it just a technical problem with coaching or a tactical/strategy team issue or is it a mental issue with Justin or is he carrying some injury that is holding him back thus far...???

Whatever it is.... it ain't right. As a performing 1st grade prop things just don't feel right with Justin's recent/present performances. He does not come across as an enforcer. During this 2010 season thus far, other younger props are regularly owning Justin.

As a junior I played a bit of prop and I was coached to get over the top of my opponents and at worse, get them mentally off their game. Even on the receiving end with broken noses, nasty knees, eye gouges, coat hangers etc, no one ever got the better of me. And as a last resort, if I had to, I would squeeze their nuts so hard and then legally flatten them with my next tackle. I was not a dirty player but I would never let any prop own me in a game. It was unthinkable.

Currently, Justin does not lead from the front and this concerns me. I am not saying he can't because he probably can but he just ain't doing it consistently so far this year. Whatever it is that is holding him back.... Justin needs to get this sorted out because the Eels are going to need 4 firing props to win this years premiership and he is presently nowhere near that end-of-season standard.

Poore defends pretty well with a lot of range. He's not too bad but he sure does run too upright.

That's a bow in his string but we need more than just a defending prop, we need him to legally hurt his opponents so they think twice about running at him. We also need him to be more than a woodchoppers "Tossing The Caber" (log) backwards because that is what most forwards are doing to Justin, he runs into the defence and the defence throws him backwards like a woodchopper Tossing The Caber.

Having watched the replays a couple times two decisions guru made during the game really did cost us a couple tries.I think the first try bombed was obvious, but the 2nd was crucial considering it happened in the 79 min the chip kick landed at his shoelaces and was catchable.I guess guru is more athlete than footballer

look, sh*t happens and it happened in a flurry of bullets last night, we basicaly combined our best to worst performance in 5 days and our attitude suggests that we're still a long way off being a top 4 side.

I def think we can all agree to this, I think if we cant go close this year with Storm out of the picture then i really dont know when we will c any light at the end of tunnel.

well, what I'm about to say is not going to go down well with a few people but there's a reason why a couple of players are leaving next year and those reasons came to the surface last night...

last night showed the club made the right decision.

Yes, their commitment was questionable at best. Very disappointing.

Does anyone know what Ben Smith said to the ref when he was penalised for being in the ten?

"Amazing" he was pinged for it & Cronulla were not penalised for it the entire game.

That's when the 2 referees were marking the ten. Ben was in line with the controlling ref Maxwell, but Suttor was calling him back to where he was standing, about 1 metre behind Maxwell. When Ben got involved Suttor said to Maxwell "Ben Smith involved" and he got penalised. When Smith told Maxwell he was in line with him and Suttor was a metre behind him, the referee didn't want to know about it, and instead said to Ben something about calling him offside 4 times already.

Cheers Staggers, nice to be in the loop, but in a way dissapointing to hear though obviously for the betterment of the club, anything on the horizon in regards to signings?

if that is what you honestly believe then you are NOT a Parramatta supporter - the team is bigger than any player[/QUOTE

Im a Parra supporter no matter what but its true,Parra are nothing without Hayne.

Trust me as soon as Hayne leaves Parra the members will decrease

Mate, you`ve got it half right. Parramatta rely heavily on Jarryd Hayne, and they certainly aren`t as good a side when he is off the field. SO WHAT? That`s a very common thing. What about Parramatta without Ken Thornett? What about Manly without Bob Fulton? Balmain without Beetson? Wests without Raudonikis? Canterbury without Steve Mortimer. Or more recently - Newcastle without Johns; Easts without Fittler; Broncos without Langer? Or Melbourne without Cameron Smith; Canterbury without Kimmorley; Souths without Isaac Luke; Cowboys without Thurston; Titans without Prince?
It`s extremely common for a team to have one star player who has a huge impact on the fortunes of that team. Take any of those players out of the above teams and they`d struggle. Doesn`t mean they`re sh*t. And Parramatta is not sh*t either.

ok, in a couple of words, we definitely have cash to spend and there are players that they're looking at but will be sitting back to see how things pan out with Melbourne..smart move imo.

hate to say it, but i do think a fair portion of our memberships this year is attributed to Hayne - he really is another revenue stream for us, people i know now support Parra based on Haynes ability - yes people are that fickle unfortunately.

Sure; but wouldn`t that be the same at just about every club?
Say, Melbourne and Slater? Broncos and Lockyer? I know Hayne is very flashy and flambouyant, so he probably attracts more fans, but I think every club has their marquee players who get fans through the gates.
