I don't know. Maybe I', overly-optimistic, but I am quietly confident. I just have a feeling Mannah and Fui will have blinders, Hindy will be inspirational as usual and Caylo will have a big one.

Yes the under 20's on Fox, we didn't get many games on Fox last year so hoping to get a few 5:30pm Saturday and 2pm Sunday games this year.

What times are the games on next Saturday? I have to work, but because it's my birthday the next day and I have family coming over on the Saturday I can go in late on Saturday so hopefully I can catch some of it. :D

Parramatta to lose, some forum members looking for the scapegoats, others reaching for the razorblades, others calling for the sacking of DA.

We have played them round 1 a few times and had MASSIVE reality checks.

A few of those losses have been some of the worst I have ever seen from us; unfit, behind the pace, terrible line speed in defence conceding tries to forward roll almost without missing a tackle.

I am confident we have worked on all of those elemts significantly.

I think its a 50 50 proposition. Have a bet and take he overs.

The Sonny factor could work either way anyway. I don't think it will be what decides the match.

GO THE EELS! One week to go!

I'd be more confident if Mateo was available.

One thing in our favour is that the Warriors have been over-hyped in the pre season and I just don't know that they're going to be able to live up to the hype.

Still, tough to win over there, especially early in the season.

I'm more interested in the effort & attitude than the scoreline.

Here you go, this is all I could find.

Both will have scans on Monday that will decide if the Test duo are any chance of playing the season-opener against Penrith on March 14, however it is likely both will be ruled out.

Fellow Test backrower and marquee recruit Anthony Tupou was concussed in the dour clash and suffered a minor neck injury, but is not in doubt for the Panthers round one meeting.

The Sharks are not the only club with injury concerns, with Canberra prop Scott Logan (ankle) in doubt for the season start after going down in the Raiders' 24-16 loss to the Bulldogs.

South Sydney skipper Roy Asotasi said he would start the season wearing protective headgear after copping a nasty head wound in the Rabbitohs' 18-6 Charity Shield win over St George Illawarra.

Asotasi clashed heads with team-mate David Fa'alogo in the 15th minute and was taken from the field, but returned later in the game with his head heavily bandaged and wearing a helmet.

Eels lock Feleti Mateo was rested from Parramatta's victory over the Roosters with a knee injury, but is not in doubt for the season opener against the Warriors.

They obviously go the last bit wrong.

TBH I think everyone has miscontrued a comment someone posted to the effect that Mateo "is being rested for round 1".

Pretty sure they meant he was being rested from the trial so that he would be right for round 1; not being rested during round 1.

With Burt dropping bombs all over the park and crabbing his way to the 10 metre line from kick returns we're no chance.

Even Hayne wont be able to save us

Warriors 36 Parramatta 10

RIP Sonny

And then the Warriors will force 3 drop-outs, all of which Burt will kick short and regather for himself, leading to long range tries.
