I can assure you an egg would dent any current car if it hit it in the right spot.
Cars panels are thin as shit these days.
All of them
And eggs will f**k the paint very quickly if it is on it in the sun.
In a few hours there will be damage.

Put and egg, point to point between your palms and try and crack it.
If it hit in the middle of a quarter panel on the point of a new model jap car there would be a dent
That would need to be fixed and resprayed.
