lyons is a quality centre ,not a ball player.foran is all they got .he maybe good ,but he ain't thurston, noddy, prince etc he's a 19 year in a side without another option .do the math

Lyons was never a centre, good halfback though.

Lyon on the other hand is far more than capable of playing 6. Led the team through injuries last year and had the ball on a string at 6 for Saints. More talent in his pinky toe than Orford.

he's fat, slow, and goes missing for hours at a time in defence.

But he's in cracking form now and is an absolute freak to watch and play alongside according to the players.

Lui went alright, but Moltzen's ball playing was a lot better. Moltzen showed why he should have been at halfback tonight, he laid on a couple of tries, and dropped a few bombs (which he wouldn't have had to take if he wasn't at fullback).

Thought Lui's ballplaying was better than Moltzen's. Moltzen set up the tries with his running, not his ballplaying. Great fifth tackle option by Lui to set up a break down the right that should have resulted in a better result than it did.

Tend to agree.

I still don't know where to accommodate Moltzen in the backline with everybody available and presuming Lui maintains decent form.

Moltzen moving up into the playmaker role sparked our revival more than anything Lui did all night - yes Lui passed a ball when Moltzen called for it due to an overlap, that is not rocket science.

Moltzen is a sh*te fullback, Benji is a sh*te kicker. Get Mullaney into first grade, he can't do worse than Tim at the back, Tim dropped 3 bombs from memory.

I don't know if my blood pressure is up to an entire season of this...

Come on! A dude with a pass that long has to be in the middle or he'll be knocking the touchy out! I'm not going to pretend I watched him as much as I would have liked (he was my first "favourite player"), but having read the books of the "old" blokes, there seems to be a similar opinion from many that he was held back and used as a flair player/five eighth when he should have been controlling football matches - especially in rep games.

You said our halves would be overwhelmed. Jamie Lyon won a premiership while in the 6.

Foran scored in minutes on debut & hasnt had a bad game since. And considering your halfback has less experience it doesnt say much for the overwhelmed statement about Foran.

The maths say your opinion is a crock.

he won it in 6 with orford in 7 and no cam smith.as seen tonight we had more optoins than yours

Moltzen is a sh*te fullback, Benji is a sh*te kicker.

Lui is a sh*te half.

Put Moltzen back where he should be, he looks so uncomfortable in the 1, but awesome when he gets on the ball in attack.

Lui was solid but not much more, I'd play Lui in the reggies this year and let Tim have the year to prove himself in the halves.

Yeah, so you were wrong to call him a halfback.

The way we played when Moltzen injected himself, we would be semi final bound for sure with him playing 7. He is terrible at 1. Moltzen has attacking flair, Lui is pedestrian.
