Chuck D is great, no doubt. An immortal of not just the hip-hop game, but music on the whole. But to say he is more relevant today than Eminem is quite erroneous, bordering on ignorant. Eminem should not be considered a mere disposable pop beast, he is far more significant than that flimsy stereotype. He is the man for his time, and, as DIGga mentioned, an outrageously talented lyricist and songwriter. If you don't like him, fair enough - I understand that completely. But you can't deny his supreme dominance. He straddles the world music scene like a colossus.

go out in front of your class and say F*ck you Teacher, F*ck you fellow classmates then unleash a 'gat' and shoot everyone in the class and then yourself and that will be a great way to tell how eminem has affected the world.

i sound like some stupid PC asshole, but seriously he is f*cked! i never thought a singers lyrics would ever be taken to heart by anyone, but you see it everyday, on various talk shows and even on your street, kids acting tough and stealing shit because eminem and a few of these gangsta rap dicks said it was cool.

listen to some real rap like Beastie Boys and Jurassic 5.

I listen to all hip hop

from Run DMC to Nappy Roots to Bone thugs to Nas to Talib Kweli to Kanye to Wu to Kast to De La soul to Aesop Rock to Jay Z to DPG to every-f**kin-one. If you wanna know anything about it or some dope albums to get..you should probably come and ask me.

Eminem is real hip hop. I'd have to start thinking about putting him in at least the top 6 or 7 lyricists of all time. Behind maybe Biggie, Nas, Rakim, KRS One & a couple of Wu-Tang members. Gza..would be one of those, Ghostface maybe the other. Talib Kweli is also right up there at the moment. But remember Em's only released 3 albums..wait till he's 10 years deep...I suspect he'll be right up there.

If you want an example of his greatness. Check out "Stan" That song is amazing. It's one of those songs I can only listen to if i'm in a certain mood..And when an artist can do that to me..its pretty special.

Oh and his 2 diss songs to Benzino/The Source are f**kin amazing

"The Sauce" & "Nail In The Coffin"
