Supporters will be able to watch England Rugby League Elite Men’s squad live on the Our League app & website when they take on France at Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday, October 17 (KO 7.45pm).

In preparation for the three-match test series against New Zealand this Autumn, the game against France will be the first time UK supporters will be able to watch the World Cup finalists in action in this country since the 2016 Four Nations.

England and France last met in their final group stage game of the RLWC2017 in Perth, Australia, with England securing a 36-6 victory.

The venue is lol worthy, but hopefully given the exploits of the Catalan Dragons and their best players not being injured for once - we might see a close match?

England should always play France in France until it becomes apparent that the French are capable of actually competing and maybe even close to winning otherwise England will continue to crush them by 50-60+ points in front of 6,000-7,000 in a town that doesn’t have a train station.

This game has been treated like a joke since the date and venue were named. A Wednesday night "friendly" in Leigh is hard to get excited about for players, fans & clubs both sides of the channel.

Hopefully the French can keep it close, shame this is the only crack they'll get at one of the big 3 this year.

It's all well and good saying we should play France every year,and I agree,but there's not alot we can do if they can't be arsed...

very true. the apathy of the french media means the ffrxiii probably want the game to go mostly unnoticed - unless of course they pull of a miracle win in which case the media would ignore it even if it was played on the Champs Elysée in peak hour.

Have you got anything to back up that it's the French who "can't be arsed"?

They've seemed pretty proactive, trying to "rebuild" the national team structure and improve the relationship with Catalans since Cologni took over.

No forwards and they have Robin at fullback. Usually effort they put in when playing in England. Gigot it looks bored.
