The stitch up is on. This is why you need neutral referees. DWZ had nothing to do with stopping the try. Johnson had stopped the ball carrier.

Shocking call. Pretty obvious the VR was looking at the same footage we were and I didn’t see the knees connect. I’m kava drunk so not very confident.

The non neutral referees is a bad look, though Hicks and Thaler are pretty random in their decisions at the best of times, so not really unusual to see it at an international.

That decision was a joke though. Wasn't even a penalty, was nowhere near a penalty try.

Hope Thaler gets dropped for that, that is poor in an international game. They tend to bin more, and award more penalty tries, in Super League, though I'd still think that was a terrible call in Super League.

But Thaler must have forgotten he is meant to be refereeing to international rules, where the evidence for rewarding a penalty try has to be pretty convincing.

I'm so disheartened by the stupidity of that decision that I'm struggling to stay interested in this game.
