He's in no rush. I don't quite understand their lack of urgency to score some runs

They were 200ish when Burns was run out and they've scored 40 odd in an hour and a half, if not longer. They're just letting the game drift with the bat.

Root just about chopped it on in getting his 100. That'll alleviate a lot of pressure on him

Fair enough. It's easy to underestimate how much time a team has in a game of Test cricket, as well as how much can happen in a short period of time. Proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

So, the day ended with England at 269/5.
For me, a few too many wickets lost for not quite enough runs. It’s hard to see them scoring more than 500 from here with enough time to win it, especially with rain hanging around. Still, could happen though
