As a team, no. But as an individual, certainly, particularly facing the indignation of going from SOO to park football in a couple of months and no being re-signed when contracts come up... He's going to look even more ordinary next year with no Patten, Kimmorley and Hannant.
I don't think it's fair to judge him right now as the whole team has thrown in the towel for this season. Sure, we'll have no Patten, Kimmorley or Polar Bear, but they'll be replaced with players that have shown enormous potential - Barba, Hodkinson and Tolman. I have no doubt that Tadpole will grind the team to the bone this off-season and the roster will return for 2011 season fitter, stronger, refreshed, re-energised and ready for another big season. The Bulldogs never miss the finals 2 years in a row - 2008-2009 was a prime example of that - from equal last to equal first in the space of 12 months!
The Cellar-dwellers are Melbourne ;-) You can count on 1 hand the amount of times we've fielded a full-strength team this year. Not trying to make excuses, but you can see why we've had a bit of a plummet.
