Ennis - no charge

Ennis was as lucky as all fg.

Bit rough to have 3 weeks sitting over Wighton for that one.

I hate the % loads.

It was only marginally less of a shoulder charge than what Inglis did to that dragons bloke a few years ago .

Wow, that is utter stupidity then, 40-10 up and you do that? Deserves to miss a week

Well in my opinion Ennis' was a shoulder charge as was Wighton's, but I don't get paid to make such decisions so I must be wrong

Ennis to me looked more like your standard hit the kicker after he kicks it type hit that happens dozens of times a match, late and probably worth a penalty but not a suspension, but I may be a little biased!

I have this sneaking suspicion sometimes heading into big games they intentionally go to the next level with the charge because they know no matter what the team will fight it, then they feel like they have won when they get it downgraded which I suspect will happen here, either way I assume he will still miss at least this week?

It's not 1981. Just beat them physicaly by playing hard.

The only time we've looked like our old selves was the last 3/4 of the Roosters game, directly following a big push & shove.

That seemed to get us fired up & into the contest. I think atm, we need something else to fire up & get the physical that you rightfully suggest we need to be.

Not ideal but whatever pumps us up, I'm in favour of, as I know we have the skills to match it.

I think there is an element of truth a in this
In my view our problems start in the forwards and a touch of " going through the drills" rather than a desperate desire to get over the top of the opposition seems prevalent

We just seem to be lacking the intensity atm. Earlier in the year I described our play as "relentless"...we'd just keep on coming at 'em.

I'm hoping the big occasion might get both teams a bit fired up & into each other because I reckon that will make us play better & probably make Canberra play worse. Guys like BJ Leuliua need their feathers ruffled!

Im going to put a theory up here.
The last 5 weeks our best game has been against the Roosters, a team that was playing well but not one that we would be playing in the finals.
Is there a chance that we have not been showing our full deck to the other finalists?
I hope so.

Dunno if this was right thread to post that, anyway carry on

I think your right BBB.

I'm expecting the aggression to step up big time for the Semi's and I'll think we'll see a few things new in attack.

As I have said in a previous post this is our GF come early. 2nd chance is fools gold.

BBB and DS, I have said that previously during the past month.
We have had a top 4 spot locked in for 6 weeks now.
Remember when parra played the drags at kogarah in round 26, knowing thy had to play them again in the first week of the semis. Parra played like absolute busteds and basically just went through the motions. Drags fans were yelling from the rafters.
A week later when it mattered parra pumped them and played perfect, with a completely different game plan.
