- Defence is no worse than wingers we have now
- Was only slow when he had that knee injury, fastest at the club otherwise
- Has obviously rediscovered his passion for footy

I'd have him in straight away if he's fit.

I thought he was a little slow compared to other wingers at his time.

I will only disagree with this. Speed and strength were his two biggest assets. Remember watching him burn Matt Sing and Matt Bowen scoring a try from our own half. He only ever ran as fast as he needed.

I'd sign him in a heart beat one year deal. What have we got to lose ? We came last!!!

I agree. Sometimes you need to think outside the square to get things moving forward. He wouldn't be asking for much and it's not like he would be keeping some up-and-coming star out of the side.

LOL, what a joke, at least the star struck Shinobi and PESC fans will be wetting themselves.
What a backflip from him regarding RL from when he was playing, i hope he does start playing again, regardless of who its for it will make his toxic position on our board untenable, and more importantly will provide me with a good laugh next year.

I am interested in what you mean by "his toxic position on our board". Care to elaborate?

What certain people need to realize is that for most if his 12 year career, egj has been playing busted and has never given his body any time to recover and it obviously took its toll at the end if 2010 when he decided to give it away, so if anyone bothered to hear the podcast that was linked by Gronk would have had everything explained to them by Eric himself, why he left and why the desire to come back and why he thinks he can make a real fist if it,

His detractors and slanderers are going to continue putting shit on him whether or not he succeeds that's not going to change, the funny thing about it if you ask Eric himself who these people are he'll just shrug his shoulders and say 'I don't know' they don't appear to want to show their face anywhere..

I'd offer him a 2nd tier deal only and see how he goes in the off season against these younger guys.

We'd be silly not to offer him something! It would be tough seeing him run around in anything that isn't blue and gold.

He's his father's son, after all!

And finish one deep in the opposition half.

f**k he was a great attacking winger. If he could come back anywhere near the level he was when he left he would be a great signing (second tier).

Since he returned to the club from the Chooks, any year where he played less than half a season ('04, '08, '10) we missed the eight. The other four years we made the finals.

regardless of this how can he sit on the board when he is talking to other clubs?

he should stand down immediately IMO

even if nobody signs him
