So who's the new Hull fullback?

Shaun Briscoe. We got him from Wigan just before the season started and he proved to be one of the signings of the season. He played Full Back in every match this year for Hull scoring 22 tries in SL (a new SL record for the club). He was picked at Full Back in the SL Dream Team for 2004 and was also voted Young Player of the Year (although admittedly Danny McGuire would have won that had he not been in contention for Man Of Steel).

Certainly not a bad replacement for Prescott He's only a young lad and could do with a bit more bulk but he's only a young lad so that shouldn't be a problem. He's been a bloody Godsend for us this year.

As long as he does enough to impress John Kear he'll definitely get his chance. Kear is hoping he'll be this year's Richard Whiting. For those who don't know, Hull signed Rich Whiting from Featherstone (NL1 side) a year ago and his first season in SL was outstanding. He made the step up seemingly effortlessly (although I'm sure it wasn't) and by the end of the year was playing for Engalnd A.
