Any one of Leeds, Warrington, Wigan, Saints, Catalan and Hudds are capable this year which is good IMO. And, I reeeeealy want Catalan to win the title tbf. It will boost the game massive down there and they are the best team I have seen live this year. ATM from all the teams I have seen play live I'm saying Catalan, Hudds, Wigan, then Leeds, Wire, Saints on par.

Forgot about Hull too but IMO they are in a false position. They may have drawn with Wire and beat Saints but Wire were stupid to think they could fly back from Australia and compete on 3 days prep and Saints were in the middle of that bad form. I think Hull aren't far off the "6" but are just a bit short at the mo.

A Catalan v Huddersfield grand final would be ideal for mine, particularly if Catalan can bring in a couple more Frenchies - maybe Cardace for Millard, that sort of thing.

Not stupid.

Its all about being good at playoff time and doing enough to finish in the top 8.

Thats what this league is now. Plan to finish in the top half. Job done.

Why would Trent Robinson ever contemplate replacing Millard with anyone? Millard has been in sensational form this year -- most recently with his own 80 metre solo try and the try he assisted for Thomas Bosc in the victory against Warrington.

:) Still sticking to that stance eh mate? Wire cannot win this comp outside the top 4.

As Leeds showed friday, when they raise their defensive intensity, teams struggle to live with them. Why should we have to do it every week though. Save it for when it matters and a few games here and there in the regular season ;)

Why indeed.

Low intensity games that don't matter...

Yes they can, they can be "champions" if they finish 8th.

Thats the rules.

:) Not disputing the rules. Wire have demonstrated they cannot make the grand final when they are given the easiest route possible. They can't make it with a succession of wins away from home. Tony smith knows this, Adrian Morley knows this, Leeds Rhinos know this :)
Can't understand, on this basis why wire have been favourites at the bookies. Worst odds ever?

Regrettably, Wigan are my tip at the moment.

I'm really disappointed with Widnes this year. They just aren't upto this level at this stage I'm afraid.

Coaching change anyone?

Yes you are disputing the rules. You said Warrington cannot win from 5th.
The rules state they can.

As for away wins and your tip... 20-22. ;-)

Oh and on Widnes, they need to get rid of Betts. Give Cullen a run in charge.

I thought you said all regular season games are meaningless?

As a whole the regular season games are a qualifying comp for a cup contest to decide the league champions. So yes, on an individual basis they totally meaningless.

But you don't seem to think so, so i was helping you out for your future tips. ;-)

Right you are bitter-man :) Must be depressing, watching all these meaningless games?

Yeah deffo, stuffed Cas over the weekend, whilst watching one of the best Warrington teams ever (even winning a Wembley twice) with a number of local youngsters playing. I'm double depressed.

You need a new line, the bitter one really doesn't work and just dumbs down any point your trying to make.

Still doesn't add meaning to the qualifying comp, sorry league. Just aim to finish in the top 8, then onto the cup.

Of course it works mate - you're clearly bitter in every respects of last years finals performance by your 'best ever' team, to the extent you now contradict yourself regarding the value of regular season games. Tell me, did you have this same stance before last year? Or did you believe, like everyone else, that the playoff system works, since the highest finishing teams tend to contest the final. If you think Wire can win from outside the top four, you are massively deluded. But then i think we established this a while ago ;-)

Yeah i did think a cup comp to decide the winner of the league is a stupid idea.
Just think about the concept, its to stupid for words. Only a tv guy could dream up such nonsense.

Everyone else thinks the payoffs are great eh? I think to find a deluded fan you need to invest in a mirror mate.

Yes Warrington can win from outside the top 4. They can win from 8th, any team can. ITS THE RULES OF THE COMP!!!! Its how we decide the league champions.
To even debate that is stupid, to say its deluded to think that a team cannot win from outside the top 4 is even more stupid than the system you seem to be denying exists.

Go to the super league website. Its on there if you don't believe me.
