Lodge has turned up at Manly for the rest of the year. Never been so disgusted at the club in my life

Better dig out my Warriors gear from 20 odd years ago because I won’t be watching Manly while he is there
Devastating news for you. They just didn't need to do that, ay? The trouble is he lives on the NBs now so he would've been mixing with members of the club and, therefore, rubbing off on them. They'd eventually go, 'yeah, Lodgy's OK, let's give him a shot'.

Not sure why you'd dust off the Warriors gear, he's at your club in huge part due to the Warriors initially contracting him. ;)

I wonder what iPap is thinking right about now.

Didnt need to sign with the Tigers so early and truthfully it wasn't astronomical money that he couldnt have gotten elsewhere either.

Definitely not as dynamic as he was in his time at the Eels.

The Parra offer wasn’t significantly lower than the Tigers either. I think part of it was Maguire being able to put together a compelling pitch. The spanner in the works of course being that he’s not being coached by Maguire as he expected.

What's the feedback on how Katoa is going at the Storm? Given he just got a 3-year extension, must be going pretty reasonable?

(I hate the Storm like I hate a hot skewer through my Jap's eye unannounced. So I haven't seen him play, but I really like him and rate him)

Didn't he have an out clause he could have activated because McGuire left? I guess he is a quality enough person that he didn't want to backflip (although I remember quotes at the time, he was very non-committal)

I guess a lot of players think they'll go well wherever they go. Maybe Isaiah will reflect that he needs a positive environment to get the best out of himself.

I may be wrong, but I don't think there was a clause, I believe it was just rumbling that he was going to try and request a release (which didn't eventuate, and probably would have been denied if he had anyway).

Katoa has been solid without being remarkable from the Storm matches I've seen this year. Very Melbourne Storm/Craig Bellamy type of forward so not surprised at all he's being extended.

Most games I’ve seen him in he’s looked pretty good- seems to be running good lines and generally being effective in their system. Good to see him kick on.
