Expulsion?

We'll be the cleanest team in the NRL once this is over. We've cleaned out our administration in 2002, we could be cleaning out some scum now. Our future has a lot of promise, and most other clubs should be thankful that it's us that fell at this hurdle. It gives other clubs a chance to straighten themselves up.

What have u been LICKING!?!?

Think about it Phillips...it's true!

We get caught doing what others have been doing for years in the salary cap (Don't even START with trying to deny it....I have no SPECIFIC proof of anyone in particular...but if u tell me we're the only ones ever to do that, you're of a PARTICULALY low IQ...even for a squeels fan! ) - we get CANED by the NRL (And so we should have BTW!)...gives everyone else doing that, or THINKING about doing that a short sharp uppercut into reality...

Same here with the Coffs 'incident' - the only thing that is on trial here, is - was the girl raped??...Forget about the whole morals issue of the multiple partners - because if u think this culture is endemic just to the BULLDOGS - again mate - u have some serious parramatta river rocks in your head!!...But AGAIN we get caught, take the fall, and others who are doing it or were thinking pf doing it - yada yada yada!...

Bottom line is as ibeme said: now OUR dirty administration is gone...And if allegations are proven true here - then our dirty PLAYER(S) will be gone....yours and everryone else's remain....just go deeper unbercover is all!!

SuperLeague - yet AGAIN we are painted as THE bad guys - the cause of it all...when we merely folllowed others into the fray, because THAT is where we thought our bread was buttered...we did not do it to kill rugby league, or thumb our noses at the NRL, or whatever half-baked theories are out there about SL (And ive heard DOZENS!!! ) All of this which by the way - greatly benfitted YOUR smelly club, as u tore away Smith, pay McCracken & Dymock - almost 1/3 of out starting lineup, I MIGHT ADD!!

And I could go on lke this...

Take off the parra-goggles just for a sec - take a step back from your obvious inherent hatred of us....and think about all of this SENSIBLY for a moment!!

It makes perfect sense!!...We are not angels -no-one can deny that!...If u think your club - or just about ANY other for that matter, is pristine then u are WRONGER than youve ever been before (Which is pretty damn wrong!!) But I can hear your thoughts - that's right - you ARE diffenrent to us!!!..>And do u KNOW what that difference is Phillips??...I'll tell you - it's merely thatw e got CAUGHT! Full stop.

But it's FAR FAR easier to merely sling mud at us, that happens to conveniently slop at your feet than actually CONFRONT yourself with such circuitous thoughts, isn't it Phillips?? :iwstupid:

If there is any substance to the original reports and six players are charged, whether they be innocent or not, that damage alone may well be enough to sink the Dog's as a NRL team.

Not because of any action of the NRL's, but its quite possible sponsors will be a touch hesitant to stick by the club for the 18* months before it goes to trial.

* Just pick a realistic time. It aint gonna get listed in the sort term (weeks). It will be something that is being heard during the Finals or the State of Origin or the like. Just lovely timing.

I think the Doggies as a club may well be in deeper shit than they recognise.

I doubt it...

We are a big xlub that is VERY popular, and gets a LOT of exposure! There will always be sponsors out there...somewhere...Times may get TOUGHER tho - for sure!

What WILL kill us quicker than ANYTHING anyway - and a LOT of other teams besides - is the poker macine tax...THAT is a bigger peril than I think 90% of people realise!!

Ive just been reading through this thread and I dont think you guys get it at all. Thats understandable. The emotional stake that you guys have as Bulldogs fans fuels a reaction that is very defensive.

The media is currently portraying the Bulldogs club as having a very sick endemic culture. Youve got to expect that. Its what newspapers, TV news etc do. In this day and age theres no other sort of position you can expect them to take.

This perception is being reinforced by your officials, player comments to the media, fans reaction in places like this forum. The way you guys come across is one of wanting to take no responsibility, full of arogance. A thinking that the Bulldogs are bigger than the game. Im quite sure thats not what you mean but its the way you are perceived.

Make no mistake. when the dust settles, IF it is found that the allegations against this women are even 25% true I think Gallop will seriously consider the harshest penalty. League can easily live without the Bulldogs or any other club. A lot will be determined by the club reaction. Now is the time to stop being defensive. The club needs to take full responsibility for the actions of the players and display some humility.

If they eject us....they eject a SIXEABLE proportion of their Sydney (Their CORE mat=rket!) support..

Well it's certainly POSSIBLE man....But hat is SURELY the LAST thing the NRL want??

I for one, will be DRIVING a campaign to clean out the NRL in the unlikely - but still possible - case that that that happens!!...The culture that pervaded is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT (is that enuff not's yet?? :p ) endemic to JUSt us...

The NBA survives in spite of such scandals as Magic Johnson/Kobe Bryant etc etc etc etc....and the baseball league - drugs.women/scandal ahoy - and they ALL continue 2 earn hundreds of times what THE top NRL players do!!!...Which just goes to show that money CANNOT override basic human nature!!...

RAPE is another matter altogether...guilty there = hang em & hang em HIGH!! IF fiound guilty - u will not see a single decent Dogs fan supprt whoever it is that has perpetrated this crime - but MORALS in general should be left THE HELL out if this debate altogether,...which is something thst D.Gallop cannot seem 2 grasp!!...

Maybe morals should be left out of it. And I think there are deep problems with trying to make rules about what players, or any adults for that matter, can consent to do in the privacy of their own rooms.

The rub, of course, is that a large percentage of the ticket buying and TV watching public DO make a spending decision that gives a strong if not overpowering weighting toward gut feeling, consience and indeed, thier own morals.

And it is those spending decisions that pay the contracts and sponsorships that keep the Bulldogs afloat.

Money is societies way of saying 'good doggy'. Taking money it away will be societies way of saying 'bad doggy'. Putting doggy's behnd bars would be societies way of saying 'doggone'.

You forget that scandal is a public attractor not a detractor. IF the rape allegations are found to be unfounded, then the rest of the "sex scandal" will probably attract more people to the game than turn away. Your immediate reaction may be to think I'm crazy, but the evidence is there. Whenever a TV Reality show has some sort of sordid scandal, its ratings go up. People suddenly started to have huge interest in Paris Hilton after her porn tapes were released (she even got a TV show out of it!). Even Bill Clinton had a surge in popularity after his messy business. Eddie Murphy (as a *kid's movie star*) and Hugh Grant are more popular than ever.

It's a strange world.

the dogs should be kicked out and never to return

Well that's the only way the Eels win win anything EVER again...so u would say that wouldn't u?!?!

TOP WORK!!

They removed Canterbury in 2002 and Parra still couldn't win. The thing that would have to be removed for Parra to win is Brian Smith.

Todays press release sought of puts a different light on things and of course the IF comes into it again....but IF this lady who is now saying club officials from the Bulldogs asked her to keep quiet about the goings on last year...the buck may not just stop with the guilty players.....I'm still saying the Bulldogs need to be in the NRL but we MAY see some more heads roll! Then again this woman may be just jumping on the bandwagon of the present problem! :blahb:

Even if they did do this, she ignored their pleas, and the police decided that they didn't have a case to answer to. Case closed. Of course the management wouldn't want her to take it any further. Innocent or guilty, mud sticks. According the the law, they were innocent.

Very funny, but what the hell has smithy got to do in here?

Anyway, my support goes out to all dogs supporters this time, because I cant even imagine how it must feel.

If it happens and I don't think it will but if it did don't blame the NRL blame the players who have let your team and the league community down by this appauling incident.

I'd be dissappointed with the decision, but I wouldn't blame them for anything. I just think that it'd be punishing the wrong people. There are a lot of innocent players who are currently under speculation, and why make the fans pay? Fans are demanding that any vermon to be removed. Then we can look forward.

Well here is an open invitation to female fans. Come follow the Sharks. I know of 2 female friends who have dumped the Dogs and now follow my team and will be coming to the games. Yes they are real supporters, I just wonder what type of fan will support the Dogs now after this?
