I agree about him making it up. They were very good tries he scored.

The pass from Hayne was not easy to take and required some finishing. That was an astonishing piece of skill. There was no real overlap. He just made everyone pause momentarily and used that time and space to beat the defence with the speed and accuacy of the pass. He basically created a non existent overlap.

One of the cameras couldn't follow it so Burt did well.

The goal kicking was top shelf too.

Big chance that Morgan plays left Wing when tonga returns though surely?

He also hurt his ankle very early on and limped for alot of the match.

Burt will struggle to play in firsts when Blair, Sio, Loko, W. Tonga are all available.

I reckon he'll struggle to stay up as soon as Willie Tonga comes back.

If we keep winning he'll probably keep his spot but this team is unlikely to keep winning.

Don't know if it's been mentioned and don't have the time to read the hundreds of posts but Justin poore really stood up last night. I thought he had a very good game. Also ... Just how good is Matt Ryan going to be as a footballer ?

Yep. He was excellent last week too.

I dunno. He turns 24 next week. He should be close to his physical peak, but is still very inexperienced at this level. He'll still learn plenty, if nothing else.

Beyond his first 5-6 weeks of 2010, Poore has only really had a handful of bad games in my opinion. He has copped alot of criticism about been a terrible signing due to the value of his contract and his injury last year certainly didn't help to dispel that popular line of thought. He and Fui are the closest things to enforcers in our pack, which is a pretty tough gig at Parra and I would not be against the club retaining him for somewhere around $200k.

The emergence of Matt Ryan is a pretty big deal, assuming he can keep producing what he has shown us. While he certainly isn't a devastating ball runner ala T-Rex, a tall, rangy back rower with a mean fend, footwork and more than handy ball playing skills (how good was that haynesque cut-out pass?) at the price he would be costing us is a great player to have in your best seventeen.

It's the common consensus around here though, isn't it?

Don`t get too cocky, mate. The only reason you supported Kearney is that you had 'a gut feeling' that things would get better under him. Hardly makes you an astute analyst of the game, does it?

A 'gut feeling' just means you've done your analysis subconsciously.

Not brgging though, because I had a gut feeling that Daniels Anderson and Mortimer would be good.

IMO to be an eels fan you've got to follow the lot - players, coaches and board. just stick by your team and support them no matter what good times and bad.

but thats just my opinion.

I only like the board and the coach. I like to bag the shit out of the players.

I can't see when the board or coach are doing a bad job but I like to bag the players because I can see when they're useless or not putting in. It doesn't mean I don't support them.

But seriously, f**k them off.
