The winner also gets a place in next season's Europa League

Meh. Should look at their backroom staff before Wenger. That many injuries at once is horrid.

Their January window killed them. Reliant on a striker who is a handy second striker, but not one who should lead the line. Not sure how much of that was Wenger, how much of it was the others around him.

A portion of the blame for injuries can also go to Wenger. Refusing to build a deeper squad means more players are pushed to their physical limit and break down. Walcott, Ramsey and Ozil were all playing too many minutes.

a 34+ year old Stevie G, is playing tons of minutes without a problem, the clubs Physical training and recovery is terrible, everyone here gets injured way too much, Ozil,Walcott,Rambo,Diaby,Kos,Wilshere,OxChamber, all missing through injury.

Yes, but he's lifted a team from 7th place and 6th-5th expectations for this year, to EPL favouritism with 4 games to play.

I wouldn't get too cocky yet, your genius manager hasn't won anything yet.

Whatever the next 4 weeks hold, Liverpool's performance has embarrassed Wenger and the Goners because like them we do not have the cash that City and Chelsea have - something that Wenger has frequently used as an excuse for his trophyless decade.

F**king Alejandro Moreno on press pass.
"I still say City are the favourites because I don't wanna go jumping on any bandwagons". Jesus dude, you're paid to be on there and give your honest opinion about what's happening in this present time in football. You're not on there to give distorted opinions clouded by self-pride and arrogance.

Wenger's time is almost up, but he's been there and done that, more than that actually.

Rogers has barely started his career, right now he's won as much as Moyes.

Hardly a reason to label him a genius

So one good season (with no trophies yet) trumps an entire managerial career.

Good to know

Are you frustrated that our weekend's step to silverware involved beating the richest club in the world, while yours involved going to penalties against a team in the 2nd division?

You're a Souths and a Liverpool supporter, my frustration is probably a drop in the ocean compared to yours

Please, tell me how taking 7th placed Liverpool to title favouritism within 2 years is not genius. No team has ever come from outside the top 4 to win the title the following year, because it's f**king hard, yet Rodgers has so nearly achieved it. Being a genius is not defined by how many medals you have, it's about your relative impact.

Juve won Serie A from 7th and have won ever since, Doesn't make Conte a genius.

With the Club tradition and players they got, they were always going to be a chance, Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge, Stevie G, Sterling, is one of the better attacks around. No burden of europe helped, hence next season Man Utd will be massive Favs for Next years title.

Lol, okay, and hindsight is also a wonderful thing. 'They were always going to be a chance' Were you ever giving Liverpool a remote chance at the start of the season? Did anyone give them a chance? Not ONE person gave them a title hope, and even then, not too many people thought they'd make the top 4 either! Serie A is a weaker league than the EPL. Inter and Milan have been in a decline for a while now. City and Chelsea have been on the rise this year. Even Arsenal were on the rise for albeit half a season. The Premier league has much bigger, richer clubs to fight with Liverpool.

Ironic how Arsenal's local rivals are the EPL's jewish club, yet Arsenal act like the biggest jews in the EPL.

You mention Souths and harping on about past successes yet you're going on about a coach whose last trophy was in 2005.

With the Club tradition and players they got, they were always going to be a chance
BULLSHIT. Nobody gave us a chance to even make the top 4.

Stop making excuses for the Goners'/Wenger's abject failure.

And Liverpool have shitloads of money, they are owned by The RedSox.

Excuses already from the Goners fans.

Rodgers > Wenger
Martinez > Wenger

It is an achievement, don't get me wrong.

But he shouldn't have finished 7th in the first place if he was such a genius.

Using your logic, it would be like saying Alan Pardew is a genius for taking Newcastle to Europe only 2 years after being in the championship. (I know wasn't the manager when they were relegated, but you get my point)

Ironic how Arsenal's local rivals are the EPL's jewish club, yet Arsenal act like the biggest jews in the EPL.

They literally bought a brand new stadium

It was you who was going on about Wenger, remember how you were comparing Rodgers to Wenger, I was merely responding. But going on about a coach who has never won a trophy is worse.
