that Aussie actor in the US that gets tapes sent to him is called Simon Baker or sometimes known as Simon Baker Denny. He used to be on E-Street and was in LA Confidential and more recently in some TV Detective series in the US, the name of which i've forgotten. He's definitely an Eels fan.

Penrith didn't have a team in the top division until 1967, so it's unlikely he grew up a Panther. Richie Benaud went to Parramatta High School, and I believe would have strong links to the Parramatta district.

i'm not sure where he was born, however I do know for certain that he spent the majority of his childhood growing up in a house at North Parramatta (which is still standing)....hence we have the oval there named after him.

Don't forget Kali Meehan and Don King.
Ian Leslie from 60 minutes was sitting 3 rows in front of me at the Cowboys semi in 2005 barracking madly.
Mark Webber has a soft spot because of the 80's teams even though he's from Canberra.
Marty Sheargold from Triple M is a huge rap on our greatest players (and is related to the Crow) and another of their DJ's has said it on air but can't remember which one.
