Fan Day (with pics)

You were a busy boy on the weekend MITS, selling merchandise up at Gosford and then there on Sunday doing that

That's just the half of it. Junior reps at Wyong Saturday, the driving of the Merch van back to Sydney Saturday night, then the trials at Ringrose Sunday afternoon. Through into that a trip to North Rocks computer market and an AGM for another organisation I am a member off and you are right, I was a busy boy.

I think one of the main problems these days is the fact that players are allowed to exit the ground after the game and deliberately avoid the crowd waiting outside. Gives people who might want the odd item signed no choice but to attend these fan days and join the line along with the kids etc.

There should be a seperate event for members but I agree that public fan days should continue as it can only be good for memberships.

Sounds like punishment more than a reward

what a boring as bat sh*t day to glorify an archaic profession

With an attitude like that no wonder Australian men are turning into "manbag' carriers!

The ASHOF is a museum providing insight into tough men, and how they earn a living by being paid for what they actually do. And blokes who helped make Australia a great nation
Sadly, with the drought the way it is, sheep numbers - and shearing numbers are down.
Do you have a better way to get wool of the sheep's back?

I love every minute of it Jess....Who was sh*t stirring? Surely not that weirdo PJ? He'd need to do better than that. I've been around the block a few more times than him......
Did you really think we take the players to ASHOF? If you did consider yourself sh*t stirred Jess.

I thought with so many forumites following everyone else's thoughts like sheep, they may have been interested in how the wool came off their backs.
To me, the forum is a place where individual thoughts can be expressed, mostly tongue in cheek. It doesn't HAVE to be SERIOUS all the time - or does it?
You tell me, you're from Gotham City aren't you?

"We're all individuals"....Brian from Life of Brian
"Yes, we're all individuals" response from crowd

nah pete, noone takes you seriously

Well that's good Jess..because I don't even take myself seriously...Just a big kid at heart really:lol:
Life is too short- and when you get to my age, you'll realise that too.
I think this poem by Nadine Star, written when she was 93 sums it all up)

If I had my life to live over,
I’d dare to make more mistakes next time.
I’d relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously.
I would take more chances.

I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I’d have fewer imaginary ones.-----by Nadine Star

I enjoy family, footy and life. I consider the forumites my 'extended family' and I love keeping them 'on their toes' - know what I mean :p
