The X-Men basically dominate all things DC in terms of both originality and character coolness.

DC has and will always have domination over Marvel when it comes to pure superherodom.

While I got into Marvels characters later in my comic reading career, DC will always be where my imaginative heart is. The XMen are pretty much just all copies of DC characters in one shape or another

DC has the best heroes, Marvel though probably has the better span of heroes. DC's villains are amazing as well.

Batman has to be top. Best stories, best movies, best series, best games etc. One of the greatest fictional characters of any medium.

Apart from Supes and Bats I'd have to say Marvel has the better roster though.

With the exception of some versions of Batman, DC comics are so sickeningly shit it's not even worth mentioning.

Marvel all the way baby, read my dad's X-Men, Daredevil, X-Factor, eXcalibur and more comics since I was a youngin. I have about 200 Xmen comics starting from issue 70 something all the way through to when they started f**king with the timelines and split the X-Men teams up.

The crossover series Inferno (Mr Sinister clones Phoenix and unleashes a wave of demons on New York) is the best comic miniseries ever written IMO.

If anyone knows anything about the DC characters then they would know that Batman is the most powerful of all superheros.

You might say "but batman doesn't have superpowers". No he does not, but what Batman possesses is every other characters weakness.

In a fight batman defeats all.

True. But I was never really that into either of those guys. But I still love Batman and Spider-Man.

The only superhero I dislike is Super-man. Sure, he was weaknesses in kryptonite and his morality, but where is the fun in a guy that:

* is super strong;
* super fast:
* weapon-proof;
* shoots lasers from his eyes;
* has icy breath;
* has x-ray vision (I think he featured this?)

He's almost invincible. That's no fun!
