maybe the point that ossie made wasn't just about Fel and INU, but also David and John Williams, Trent Hodkinson, Tony Williams, Brod Wright, Albert Kelly, Keving Kingston, Ben Farrar, Nathan Gardner, Jason Baiteri, Willie Tonga, Jamie Buhrer, Ryan Hinchcliffe...need I go on??

Yup. Point noted.

I'm sad.

Regardless of what I said about Mateo before, it's still really sad to see a talented junior have to leave.
Hope you are happy Gallop.Suity

You know he is, it shows that the salary cap is working just fine.

Menzies, Orford, Hall theres 3 that played in their 2008 side that have gone.

Hall and Orford were released, Menzies was given an opportunity to take his young family overseas on a fat contract after he achieved all needed to achieve at Manly..

far from convinced with that list...

I think he'll just use it as loud as possible as a reason to change the salary cap. He probably realises it's a little hypocritical after our signings last year but no other club is going to bring it up because they all want an increase in the cap too

He had his chance to state Parra's case on the Insight Forum but didn't turn up . The only people who did turn up, from the clubs, was Newcastles very impressive manager and Holmes a' Court from Souths. Tsk ,tsk, tsk....

by the way, since losing those players and Jarrea-Warea Hargreaves they convieniently added Trent Hodkinson, Tony Williams, Shane Rodney, Ben Farrar and Joe Gullavao to their roster..

I'm not convinced Anderson really wanted to keep Mateo and Inu.

Did we even table an offer to Inu?

I wonder if either Mateo or Inu would have ended up elsewhere before the "Salary Cap Crisis" hit the headlines. Makes me think some clubs are, shall we say "being a bit more careful". Having said that, even Parramatta chat prior to the "SCC" was positive about retaining both Mateo and Inu.
Me thinks the Melbourne Storm Drama is keeping a few other clubs honest at the moment.

Ozzie is a good Christian, he'd never stoop to such things. :sarcasm:
