After all the last few pages of this thread, I have nothing to say but...

Both teams didn't play to their potential but our first half set that win up. It wasn't pretty, but we'll take the 2 points all the same.

Better luck next time boys!

The suggestion that Paris is not heavily planned is ridiculous. Do a bit more historical reading. Ever since Hausman it is one of the most heavily planned cities in the world and benefits from it....

You can't even put up a new shopfront in Paris without city approval... of colour, design, the whole thing, you can't put up high rises, you have to put up new buildings in complete harmony with the style of the district and the 19th C buildings... and it looks good to me. ;-)

Canberra is beautiful and the nation should be proud of it.

Unfortunately, the St George district doesn't look so good...........

And the oval at Kogarah is even worse.... I was surprised that the crowd was so low... maybe it is because the fans don't want to watch football in a hovel?

I WOULD have gone up to Sydney to see today's match, but it was said at a very early stage that you couldn't buy a ticket where you get a seat... so I didn't go....

It surprises me how many Sydney people seem to WANT to watch football while sitting on grass, eaten by ants and being sunburned......

Not to mention the wasps there. I kept moving because there was a wasp in my area, only to find there was one where I moved to as well... and they looked like those European ones, not the normal, nice household variety... very worrying.

Good to see someone's gracious in victory

Skeepe - I noticed the wasps yesterday too. I've never seen them before at Kogarah, though.

Cheers,
Ben S.

Greeneyed,

Paris may be "planned", in the sense that there's lot's of buerocracy, but not in the same way as Canberra & Washington DC were - as in "off the plan - that you alluded to.

Anyway, we can probably continue this argument at architectureunlimited.com fourms...

Cheers,
Ben S.
