We can't give talented juniors a run, what makes you think we'd think about talent scouting in Fiji??
LoL
Remember Coach Sharp from a few days ago when talking about Lichaa.
"He's a good young player but this is a game for incumbents"

Storm had an incumbent test hooker once and dropped him at the start of the season for a skinny 18 year old from Qld.

If you think theyre generational talents you sign them up to big contracts and play them.

Lichaa is well past 18 but hasn't had a run yet. He should've been blooded last year to get the feel of first grade, so he knew what to expect this year.

We are too shortsighted to think just 1 game last year would be advantageous for his development!

As old Big Jack used to say, if you are good enough, you are old enough.

Rant 2
I would be going to Fiji and look over the talent in league and union, and pick up a couple of flyers. One of the things we lack is decent pace, with players who are also prepared to run through a brick wall if they cant get around it.
Look at these guys at Parramatta,Penrith and Tigers.

Why? We wouldn't give them a run unless they've played 60 games in the nrl over 5 seasons.

I think you missed the sarcasm in my post.

My point with Fijians, was simply thinking outside the square.Penrith have a multitiude of juniors and they get a guy from a Fijian porter. If I had the full answer the club would have been in many G
/Fs.
Point 1.I think putting talented juniors in too early, is not necessarily the be all answer Viz-a-viz Luke Brooks for the Tiges. The Broncos also come to mind .And I am pro retaining talented juniors ,have been since the Rogers' days. It's IMO a matter of timing,as to when to slot them in..

Point 2 Think Sharp was meaning experienced game readers,as opposed to enthusiastic talented youngsters. Also he may have been well aware Lichaa had already signed for the Barkers. The defence (apart from the intercept) from the guys was tight last night.

If you believe I wouldn't want a team that included Peachey and Lichaa, then you are wrong. When these guys are being offered $300,000 plus per season, how do you combat it.Perhaps Heino and Gibbs are now past use by date, but are contracted.

I'm not having a go at you mate, I'm just over our unwillingness to give kids a go.

Afterall what did the experienced game readers do last night?
Kicked long on the last with a minute to go when behind by 6.
Maybe we need some enthusiastic unpredictable guys having a go instead of just giving ball back to the opposition and saying "here, you guys have another go"

I wish she was eating her breakfast in the cafe at out leagues club.

She is a smart operator.

First Greenberg now her.

Why do the successful clubs always attract the successful business men.

Meanwhile, we get UNITY. Darkness is here.

I gotta hand it to the new CEO at the Dogs, she is one smart cookie, with all the additional sponsorship and pillaging of our club.:(
She could be the new Arko of the 21st century.

Geez I will be glad when this ASADA crap is finito.I want a sponsored team, with a mix of stars, hard heads and talented juniors bit like the Cows.

Every time I see Dank's mug on TV,I want to hurl a very large rock at the set. Both he and that Gazelle have very "punchable"mugs.
This one guy has done more damage to the club, than anyone else since 67.

Maybe Sharp planned on playing Licha this year but heard b4 the start of the season that he was leaving for the Dogs! F@ck him he can stay in reggies all year, why should we give the kid experience in 1st grade only to benefit those merkins in blue and white - f**k them and f**k him!

Fafita can piss off at that price, i reckon it's too much and he's shown no loyalty - although I'm sure he will be glad to get away from the ASADA crap!

Funny in 2008 we were a great team then had the Bird incident - 2013 we're looking great again and the ASADA crap happens ...... Seriously we are bloody cursed I'm convinced !!

On a positive note maybe we should be looking for a shit hot number 7 or outside back ...... Who's out there?
