But you are wrong on that point to. Clubs with squads & coaches & rorting trechniques much better than ours with coaches way more lauded than ours, come 4th too.
Bellamy has won 1 premiership & you could argue that the practice that core group had playing together & in disqualified grand finals made it easier for that group to win it again.
Bet bellamy, 1 title in 12 years. News ltd resoures absolutley unlimited at his disposal. Not a brilliant result really.
Only 1 team can win the premiership.

There has to be 15 losers no matter how good the others might be.

But this isn't about playing to your very best on a consistent basis and falling short.

Nobody would be unhappy with that.

This is about expecting better results from a squad that looks like the best we might ever have had - on paper.

Better attack within the opposition quarter.

Better goal line defence.

Better backline movement.

Better development/blooding of fringe players.

Better results.

So Carney is your example against Flanno? So you are saying we should hire Brian Smith?
You have any idea how many Grand Finals Smith has gotten to?

With rosters less than ours.

Don't compare Flanno to Brian smith.

Smith's drawback. He stays too long. Upsets too many people.

Smith has had 1 draw back. He has never had the complete squad to compete against teams that cheat.
V Broncos
V Drugcastle
V Gasniers contract

& Smith had very good Rosters always. Very good. Just 1 player short. & that can be the difference bewtween first & 8th. Ask beent who lost 16 out of 20 & was never short ofthe best players.

I've no idea why you're making shit up...but to draw the picture....

We all agree these guys are some of the very best in the game.

Individually.

And at previous clubs.

So when they come together as a collective force, we all expect.....

Well, we aren't getting what we expect.

Are we.

Is that their fault?

I don't believe so. I actually said who I believe is falling short.

They're shithouse?......I'm farked where you got that idea from. I don't agree with you.

You described them as a Datsun in comparison to a Porsche. That's your analogy, not mine.

You said above we are not getting what we expect. Well, what do you expect?

We put ourselves into the position to win the comp last year. Won enough games; made the finals. The injury to Carney is what really killed us, and even then (even then!) we came damn close to rolling Manly in a classic Semi Final. These things happen. Manly got lucky and we didn't. It happens, but that doesn't mean we underperformed or were disappointing. In light of the ASADA spotlight that was on us last year the general consensus is the team overperformed, rather than the other way around.

So explain it to me again why you are disappointed?

If we some how keep Wade and Fifita, but lose Lichaa,Brown and Holmes, who will blow up?

I might be a bit ignorant here, however apart from Lichaa, no one is really chasing Brown or Holmes?

Sneak a contract in now and have their contracts extended before demand pushes their price up.

I never understood why we don't put options in the clubs favour for these young kids? The club knew they liked Lichaa. They offer him a two year contract which under the current setup basically means one year and then he's available to talk again. Why not go two years with a 3rd in our favour? That way, if he doesn't kick on, no harm, see you later but if he does we pick up the option and then it gives us an extra years breathing space to work out contracts.

Obviously it's something that both parties need to agree to, however when you're a young kid hoping to make it with no guarantees, you won't get any better chance of having them say yes.

Can every Karmichael on here please read this??

Ryan and Heighnington are total freight, your source is illinformed,Ryan was off contract, and Heighno asked for a release, therefore foregoing his 2013 Weststigers contract to get a 3 year one at the Sharks.
Tell yourselves these lies if it makes you feel better but the Tigers are giving the Sharks nothing anymore, only players not cash or cap relief.

Lichaa hasn't signed with the Dogs.

Yet.

Good to hear.

Give him a run in rd 1 FFS. Lets see how he goes. Give him the feel of first grade that he craves.

Have a contract under his nose when he comes off the field. Better still, believe in him & sign him after announcing his selection & before he plays.

Young guys are the future, don't let the good ones go.

Disagree.

The cap was managed to a tee, with the vision the club had.

Problem is, no one saw Peachey becoming the second coming to jesus and getting 200k plus shoved in his face.

No one saw Fifita becoming the best prop in the game and getting 750k shoved in his face.

No one saw the extend of the bidding war that re-signing Todd would get into. Sure, we knew we would be in with a fight, but we had to go above and beyond to get him over the line.

No one saw an un-capped player make first grade demands or leave for another club.

You may be able to pick 1, maybe 2, but not all of it.

I've heard people say we shouldn't have picked up Luke Lewis. Yes we should. He is 1 of the best 17 for his country.

Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington aren't total freight on our books.

The problem with keeping our players, is we have little to no access to 3rd party deals, so the majority of the freight comes off our cap.

We all want to keep these guys together, and sign 2 world class centres, but something has to give.

I have no doubt that if Fifita stays, he will be back ended after 2015, when Gal either moves on, takes a significant pay cut, or goes to boxing, what ever he does.

Our cap was managed for a plan, but teams come in and change plans. Unfortunately, our lack of resources doesn't allow us to have the best plan B.
There is the story Reefy you knob you used to tell all and sundry to go and you know what,I am telling you are basing it on some lies.
Thanks for your intellectual reply though.
