I'd take DCE over Wallace any day of the week. I agree with some others that I wouldn't take Johnson over Wallace, at least not right now.

Wallace is going pretty good though, I am rather surprised. People on here are either overrating him or underrating him. My feeling is that he is a good solid player, who has improved from last year, but will unlikely get to any great heights. He might get picked for NSW but that doesn't mean too much these days...

and whilst he possess none of the brilliance of Johnson, Wallace's all around game atm is more solid.

But the age comeback on these forums has always been a copout.

Plenty of top posters on here are young, or started out young.

LOL, very true. There's a good reason NSW has lost 6 in a row. They just don't have anything near the team QLD has. But anyway wasn't this a copley thread? It's turned into a real "MY OPINION IS THE ONLY ONE, AND UR AN IDIOT" thread pretty fast =/

I think the main problem here is, and sorry if it's already been raised i haven't bothered reading all 6 pages, but he isn't a winger, isn't he a centre/5/8th or something?

Yes he is, but in saying that Gagai is a fullback and we've got to make do. I don't see him getting dropped anytime soon because;
1. He is a quality player with big potential
2. This year, Broncos are predominantly playing through the forwards and then tossing it out to right to Hodges late in the sets and aren't going left as much. When we do go left, Reed and Glenn usually run holes which means it doesn't reach Copley
3. We seem (this may just be a tactic for the Dragons) to be using a lot of dummy half runs, which Copley is better at than Gagai because he is a strong ball carrier. I think this is one of the main reasons Hook went with Copley

Re Wallace, is DCE better than him? Yes he probably is, but I still want to see him perform for 2 years in a row before putting the fireworks up...

Is Johnson better than him? He may very well be in the future, he certainly looks the goods!

Who would I trade Wallace for? Thurston, Cronk or DCE, that's it! Some of the other names ventured here have to be a joke, as is using the fact they have been chosen over Wallace for NSW, like that is an endorsement one would want... :lol:

Getting back to the thread topic, Copley will probably stay in the team until Origin at least, where Gagai will have a chance to prove himself in the NRL and force Griffin's hand, by overtaking Copley and/or Beale in the pecking order. Pretty simple really...
