The Raiders got 31,000 against the Broncos at the SFS in 1990.

It's 26 years but what has changed?

Laurie Daley said he preferred to play finals in Sydney because it feels like a final
I don't think Townsville should host a prelim either, should just be either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Auckland.

The prelim finals aren't about one club, but for the game. Having one week off is enough of an advantage anyway

The difference is 300km as against 1300km. I don't really care either way but that would be the reasoning.

It's been explained earlier in.this thread wots different now.
I'm not explaining it again
You missed my point, Raiderdave. The assertion was that a week 3 final involving the Raiders against an interstate team would not draw. But it has before, albeit a long time ago. I was wondering had Raiders fans had become travel averse over the years.

Anyway, they should change things next year so Raiders, Knights and Titans can get a home final in week 3. But I doubt they will.

I thought all the huff and puff from Raiders fans was about the notion that they might not get a home final at all this year. Well, now they have one locked in, why all the continued gnashing of teeth?

& yet
they are about one club
when its the Storm
or the Cowboys
or the Warriors

the point is...

that it won't draw more then a game down here
so
whats the f**king point !!
do we want 15 to 20000 empty seats at the SFS
or people literally hanging from the rafters at GIO ??

AFL & union fans down here are laughing at our game
theyre are in stiches
rightly so

You are such a sanctimonious little merkin aren't you? f**k the way you suck up to the NRL is disgusting.

They can really do no wrong in your eyes. I wouldn't be surprised if you have jazz covered posters of Greenberg plastering your wall you sack of shit.
BAHAHAHAHHA. Not agreeing with your woe is me poor Canberra bullshit isn't a crime buddy. But get really angry, it's ok.

That being the problem.
Every situation should be the same
How else can club's & fans feel like they are on a level playing field & equals.

Side one earns a prelim final in their home city by finishing in the top 4 & winning in week one finals

Side two . . Despite finishing in the top 4 & winning their first week final is told they have to travel 300 Ks to play their prelim final against a side that finished well behind them because, well
The NRL says so

Yeah nothing wrong with that is there ?

You think that isn't worth complaining about?
You think because we can't change it we'll give up calling the NRL on it

Fat chance
The chorus will in fact grow.
If we win on Saturday...
Up we'll get to continue our gripe
If we have to play another non Sydney team

In Sydney

Well up another notch it will rise
The lunacy has to end
And if this is the catalyst... Well then some good has, been done for the games sake.
You're such a crusader Dave.

Ah! While other clubs don't even get one. Carry on then, kick up a storm of indignation. Woe is us, etc.
Hahahahahahaha

Who might they be ?
The Sharks ?

And don't bother with the line about , we don't get one at our home ground
You play at a tinpot suburban ground

You'd get to play in your home city if you earnt a week 3 final

We don't ..

Oh F Off
We have earnt it

We're a team from Canberra
Not f**king Sydney

Either all finals are, played in Sydney
Which would be stupid , but consistent at least.

Or
All sides play all finals in their HOME CITY

Instead we have an all over the place dogs breakfast of an inconsistent
Moronic pile of poop

You're just making it up as you go now.

The rules are written as home region and that is exactly what Canberra will get should they win this week.

It is as simple as that.

Not about clubs, it's about regions

Sydney is the place where prelim finals are hosted for winners of NSW & ACT based clubs who win their qualifying final in week 1

So unless your whinging it going to change the rules, it's best you zip it pal

Hahahahahahaha

Nice sydneycentric I live in a bubble attitude there
The game hasn't moved on from 1908 with a BS view like that

We are no more Sydney siders down here then Qlders or NZers
Neither are Novacastrians
Our club's should be treated the same as the 9 from Sydney & few others
Otherwise our comp is geared & uneven

I haven't seen one legitimate argument to explain why the policy should be the way it is

And after reading your effort
I still haven't.

And
That's utter bullshit
That being the point dopey

The point is you art claiming the Raiders won't be given a right they have "earnt" when in actual fact they will, that being a home region prelim.

Your issue is obviously with the rule itself, only if that rule adversely effects the Raiders though.

That's 5 separate regions, not sure what you're on about

Maybe we should move the GF to GIO stadium if Canberra make it, I'm sure the game will grow based on that logic
