6052... both your scores against tigers... and also around the mark for one of your early home crowd totals.
Which home game "early" in the year might you be referring to?

Doesn't 1/4th placed team normally get Friday night prelim? So lets image the Raiders play the Cowboys on lets says for arguments sake Friday night.
Then lets image that 90% of that crowd has a job. You might find about a tenth of the home regions fans being able to take a day off work to travel the 300km to make the game. Cowboys fans that were going to travel would travel either way.
You might get 10 thousand bandwagon fans and Sydney based Raiders fans like myself. Where are the rest of the numbers going to from?
Sure both teams are playing some great entertaining football but are you trying to say we are going to get at least 20k neutral fans go to the game.
Anything short of 20k neutral fans would see a crowd smaller than the home city stadium.
Wasn't even alive then, thanks for your concern thoughhahaha
I'm sure it doesn't burn as much for me as 89 would for you ..... brother : )

Anyway yeah, I really doubt NRL would be that stupid to schedule that sort of scenario on a Friday night
Most humblest apologies, it was the 6015 crowd against Newcastle in round 18, 2015 and the 6717 against Panthers in round 25, 2015 that I was thinking of.Which home game "early" in the year might you be referring to?
Awww borrowing skeepe's dictionary! Cute.youd just better hope I'm wrong you sanctimonious know it all
I will have a f**king field day with you if I'm not though
K : )
Weeks 2 and 3 are Friday-Saturday nights.Probably noted somewhere in this thread but in Week 2, is it Friday / Saturday night schedule?
"For arguments sake" is moot and kind of negates the rest. Given the other prelim in that scenario would be in Melbourne, that game would almost certainly be played Friday night, allowing an interstate clash to be on a Saturday and attract a much higher crowd. So lets image the Raiders play the Cowboys on lets says for arguments sake Friday night.

Even then - the moment the crowd clicks past 27k (which it surely would), the NRL's decision (given its their match to do with what it likes) is justified.
Given prelims drawing below 30k is relatively uncommon (Storm @ AAMI Park aside), I can't see that would be the case.In saying this are you also conceding that IF the crowd is less than 27k then the NRLs unjust policy is just wrong as their sole justifications for the unjust is crowd numbers.
Furthermore, your defence of the indefensible based solely on the fact that they are the rules without any questioning of if such rules are right or wrong is also wrong by definition.
Should the crowd be smaller than 27k that is.
Given prelims drawing below 30k is relatively uncommon (Storm @ AAMI Park aside), I can't see that would be the case.
And besides, it's not defending the indefensible, the NRL are free to make the decision where they play their games during the finals, in the same way clubs are able to decide where their matches are played during the regular season.
How many fans will miss out on entry to GIO this Sat?
It's not fair, but if raiders play in their first prelim in a long time and the crowd doesn't exceed 30k I'd be shocked. The issue is about week 3 and that 13 teams get to play in their home city and 3 teams don't get the same advantage.
The only reason for taking this from these 3 teams is to get a bigger crowd then if they don't get said crowd does that not void the justification for disadvantaging those three teams.

It's not fair, but there's sweet fa you can do about it in the short term and the continual flogging of a dead horse wears thin quickly in here and leads to niggling posts to get a rise.
I love that this is somehow a justice issue.
You'd also be hard pressed finding Panthers fans who consider Allianz a "home city", btw
