Massive soft spot for the Sharkies - one of my sons, brother in law and best mate all support them.

But... f*ck, f*ck Cronulla. Come on Pennies!

I have a couple of close mates who are Sharks supporters. I used to be fairly neutral on them but I've thoroughly despised them since Greg Bird kneed Shane Marteene in the head. Gallen's past is littered with dog acts too.

I'd love nothing more than for us to win tomorrow night. If we do, we will have beaten a very good side.

As for Segeyaro, he’s still dirty the club punted him for hanging out with undesirables and guest appearances in adult films. Our club stands for more than what he offered.
His form was such that a halfback was able to cover his position when he was injured and he was never good enough to win it back.

He was hooker of the year in 2014. Hook doesn't like off the cuff players like Seggy, especially at hooker. He wants the hooker to just pass the ball and tackle like a motherf**ker all game long.

Its like Dessie used to tell that dogs hooker not to run the ball and save his energy for defence. They are very similar control freaks and had a similar gameplan. The difference is we had some oversight on the salary cap and other decisions whereas Dessie got a free reign and f**ked the place, though he is a much more accomplished coach then hook that is for sure.

So why did he struggle to get a start over here? Cops issues and a general knob with Corey Norman was what cost him. The 2014 Seg is long gone

The last couple of times the Sharks have beaten us they have bashed us in the forwards. I hope our guys pull their fingers out tomorrow night and bash them. Or at least break even with them.

Because of Kevin Kingston who was captain at the time I believe.

Cops isuues lol, you mean he had dinner with some bikies, not a good look but hardly worthy of punting him. And he did absolutely nothing wrong in the norman video.

No offence Franklin but you tried to convince the forums that Moylan was a full blown coke head last year, apparently everyone in Penrith knew it you said. Seggy is gone because hook didn't like his playing style, theres nothing but a statement from hook or seggy that will convince me otherwise.

Where did he say he didn't leave us for that reason?

Things like that is why he had to go to England instead of to a few of the teams that had ordinary hookers.

Do you think Gus would put up with that even if Hook wasn't coach?

That's called an excuse to punt someone that wasnt wanted. 90% of the players to leave early were the unpredictable players with x factor.

Hook likes guys who will blindly follow his simple instructions. Sometimes we need players to do that and stop trying to use their brains. But we need guys in the spine who react to how the game is being played and adjust how they play if needed.

Cleary was perfect for Hook as he will do exactly what the coach wants. But he has shown he has more to offer ghe team in the 5 games since Hook left. Cant wait tosee what our full strength spine can do with a full off-seaaon training to play football.

Excuse for us maybe. So why did none of the other 15 teams want him?

As for the roster. We will see what the new coach does but I dare say it is Gus' roster.

Looks like a good decision to punt Seggy tbh. Making mistakes off the bench, surprisingly he turned out to be nothing special. I think it probably has a lot to do with his off field application, he has the physical attributes to be one of the best in the game.

In regards to Moylan, he 'allegedly' failed a drug test. But I have it from good sources on here that Hook put that substance in front of him & pushed his head into it ensuring there was no possible way he could avoid some of it entering his nasal passage.

It's not like those we let go were angels off the field well Soward aside -But he too didn't get a start elsewhere. So I think Gus might of had some say in them going. Lets see how our Roster looks after the new coach starts it will give us an indication

I'm with you. People seem to forget we wouldn't have the roster we have today without turnover. The guys that have left all seem to have some sort of off field issues however minor people think they are.

Because we weren't willing to release him to another club. We swapped him for Zac Hardaker.

Sharks signed him for the following season. So clearly he was wanted.

Culture is most important in teams. When weighing up re-signings etc off field plays a part too.
