Now our back 3 has size, speed and good defensive capability; it really looks the goods. With Oats and Kata on the right edge the leaking should stop and yes, we get to keep our international halves pairing. This is a backline that will match most sides in attack and defence.

Then add in AFB to our prop rotation and we have an affordable team to die for.

With a good prop rotation and lots of good depth in ISP; Dufty, Aitken, Pereira, Ravalawa, Saab, Field, Robson, Latimore, Lawrie, Host and Kerr, we would have a genuine top 4 squad.

We don't want Kata, he is almost as big a hog as Aitken.

Could be looking for a player that can play second row and centre, which makes sense since we don’t have one, unless Aitken takes that spot.

Not entirely true...both Linnett and B.J Leilua were behind Gasnier/Cooper/Scott in the centres...even J, Morris left to get first grade opportunities elsewhere...you can't keep them all...

Why oh why would we sign a 29 year old centre who has been underwhelming for several seasons.

Yes he is an experienced, tough defender. Zero speed.

Would prefer to keep Mann and play him at left centre.

We have lots of quality back rowers so can't see Kane Linnett playing the role Beau Scott had under Bennett.

At the moment we have Lafai, Aitken, Lomax, Mann for starters. Maybe it is a sign that Mann is leaving or that none of the ISP players are considered a chance of playing FG in 2019.

Solution is simple.

Lomax right centre/ Aitken his backup
Mann left centre/Lafai his backup

Not unwanted. Overpriced according under Bennett, who was trying to get players to take unders to stay and build some loyalty.

Left it a bit late with Leilua when he had the chance to sign him earlier in the year.

Essentially Cooper was chosen over JMorris, as the offer was on the low side. Didn’t want to pay on potential, then 3 months later tried to get him to stay.
