There's a difference between slightly going over the cap due to bonuses etc, than deliberately rorting it for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We don't know how much the breaches are though.
And do any of you guys think clubs could deliberately breach the cap to divert attention away from other "breaches" ? I mean the Storm were still getting fines for breaches even still while everything scandalous was going on.

Breaches like this are often due to clubs being forced to pay out match payments, bonuses for players playing a certain amount of games, and unexpected rep player bonuses.

Parramatta are no different to the Storm. No different to the Storm.
as i said elsewhere..
A guy driving at 110 in a 100 zone is breakin the law as much as a guy driving 150 in a 100 zone.

Yes, but by comparison The Storm hijacked a bus full of passengers, ran over 200 pedestrians, 20 coppers, drove over a cliff and smashed the main artery of the Bassgas pipeline.

I think the fines are usually double the cap breach if I remember correctly, but in Melbourne's case the fine would have been equal the the US gdp. Still, nice attempt at grasping at straws Simotwat.

I guess if Hitler was captured alive you'd have him up for illegally entering Poland, France, Austria, Russia etc without a valid passport.

At the risk of bringing some sense to the 'debate', the breaches would have been of a technical nature and not cheating. Nowhere near the systematic 'two books' cheating of the Melbourne Storm that ran into the million+ area and will stuff up the game for some time to come.

It seems that everytime a team does well now, there'll be anti-league types casting suspicion, and unfortunately it'll be a few Canterbury or Melbourne supporters fanning the flames.
