Yah, Guthos addition adds some complexity to the equation.. SFinau im pretty certain started out on the left in 2023.. its just that he spent 2024 on the right, and that spot is free with Lomax gone.. For me SFinau has put 2yrs in NSW Cup becoming a quality winger.. he has gone from someone who I thought was lazy and just went for intercepts.. to a guy who doesnt shirk his work... has regular big carries getting his nose in between defenders for big PCM.. and he looked good in his early 1st grade games (including that 2nd-half line break against penrith).. has a decent leap on him.. not the fastest at the club, but more than adequate wing speed/acceleration... for me I dont see the point in playing Sloan there who doesnt have any PCM.. hasnt played wing since SG Ball, gets picked up really easily.. i.e. I think wing emphasises all of Sloans worst attributes.. and none of his strengths (bar speed).Sloan (over Finau) would be the new favourite for right wing now? Or is he only a left side player?
Assuming that Tuipolotu will keep his left wing spot to start the season.
Wasnt our choice, that was the deal we had to make with the nrl, remember how long it took them to finally agree to it also, took them so long we couldnt recruit anyone decent to replace him anyway.Think about it in this form - Shane Flanagan has been desperately trying to offload players to open roster spots - why in Flanagan’s mind would it make sense for them to use a spot on Ramsey ( as much as I rate him as a player ) when there is no guarantee he could ever take to field again in the NRL
We have had it confirmed, Tonga & Latu are Top30, Halangahu not part of anything at this stage (he is much younger).. its possible he gets moved into Dev at some stage.. but nothing has happened yet.‘I’m over the moon to get it done’: Australian Schoolboy Halangahu upgrades deal
The Dragons are pleased to announce that Australian Schoolboys representative Jacob Halangahu has agreed to a contract upgrade that will see him promoted into the NRL squad in 2025.www.dragons.com.au
This was the press release when Halangahu re-signed
States that he will be apart of the extended nrl squad for 2025 not Top 30
for that. It's such a shame when we get a good one like Cody, shitty cards are dealtI do tend to agree with you cusnjed, also my best wishes for your son as well.

This is my current list with expected names added in Green + guys we could potentially move on in Orange:

Now you’re back tracking… the nrl forced us to put him into the top 30 for this year to allow us to remove him last year. Flano wanting him gone is a different story, that will only happen if he medically retiresThink about it in this form - Shane Flanagan has been desperately trying to offload players to open roster spots - why in Flanagan’s mind would it make sense for them to use a spot on Ramsey ( as much as I rate him as a player ) when there is no guarantee he could ever take to field again in the NRL
He's either Top 30 (for 2025 anyway) or medically retired, hes rly not our biggest problem, I doubt its even a huge contract.. if hes gonna retire I reckon we will know within a month or 2 of the new season after he plays some nsw cup.. and then we can go find a position we need.. if he makes it he makes it...Ramsay as much as i like him would be a waste of a top 30 spot at this point in time such a shame he has been sidelined with this awful condition his 2022 season was really promising once he was backed in as the fullback. Could we have him on the supp list?

Given what I missed and the media reports that's the official list so far.
I was confused with halangahu and late because so many lists out there in the media had them in the top squad.
We haven't had any confirmation of the 27th player, nothing announced about eisenhuth or lkt in top 30 yet
pre-season training should prove interesting on this forum next year.Yah, Guthos addition adds some complexity to the equation.. " But " thats just my 2024 opinion..... there is a pre-season to go.. Sloan is healthy this time.. if he stacks on a few kilos, he will get his chance to take a 1st grade jersey.. but most clubs have 3 fullbacks in their system.. its ok to play NSW Cup Fullback @22yrs of age.. imo play fullback and fix the issues and be ready to take that jersey when Gutho gets injured.. the only other option for nsw cup fullback is BRumble who would be 20yrs of age.. lots of talent but has a long journey ahead defensively (like Sloan did)... not sure how serious the club is on him yet.
Left wing I dunno...CTui/Feagai/Allan/Ramsey/Ravalawa/Sloan..... god knows what we will get from Allan yet.. maybe he destroys all of them.. and I hadnt realised we cant fit JAC in the squad unless Ravalawa gets sold.. that easily may not happen now that we have Gutho.. and tbh we have a few too many wingers I feel.. could really do with a free spot or 2 for another half or middle in particular.
Cody still contracted in 2025
Not sure what contract but it sounded like nrl making it all possible
He is the one we have been waiting for surely….we can’t be serious until we get this type of menacing and skilful forward into our colours.Hope the club goes all in for Terrell May.
