Legitimately don't blame coaches for this. Even Griffin targetted a bunch of good players. It comes back to the club owners who have no interest in giving players incentives to come be a Dragon.
It is indeed a debacle.
Are there any other Molos we can sign?...
I completely agree with your thoughts here. Our club doesn't have access to cashed up sponsors or anyone influential to get big note signings over the line with TPAs etc and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon.
A step in the right direction would be having a competent head of football for starters who could be responsible for recruitment.
Flanagan can talk up his credentials about how he managed recruitment at cronulla and even if one believes this to be true, the player market is a lot different now to when Flanagan last was a head coach, so he should be relieved of this responsibility and give it to someone who actually has runs on the board in recent times with this.
From there I think given we don't have the influence to sign big name players, we need to start targeting up and comers from good systems who would be wanting a regular spot in first grade and want to buy in to the new direction of the club.
We can all get excited to hear we're talking to Dearden, Fonua Blake, Manu the list goes on, but we're biting off way more than we can chew with these targets. While we waste time trying to recruit players who are using us to get a better offer somewhere else, we lose our chance to sign any decent players with potential and end up signing from the same scrap heap that Flanno found his son, RFM, Eisenhuth etc in.
