I'd suggest you could say that about 80% of players in the NRL and probably the same percentage in "the real world" as well. We can talk all we like about loyalty to a club/code, but when you can get more in 4 seasons of AFL than you could probably earn in your entire NRL career, you would have to be an absolute idiot to turn it down. As it is, Izzy's taken the lions share of it, and is now back playing the game he loves. Whether its for the Eels or someone else, i'm happy to see the guy back in the NRL.

As for the comments from Stuart and others about signing Izzy, it would sound unprofessional if we did miss out on him, but a deal has been done and Izzy won't play for anyone other than the Eels this year.

Great if and when the deal is announced I will be happy as a "pig in shit" until then......

all the press is about the Melbourne Cup

the first test starts on Friday so i don't know if they'd even announce it tomorrow as Thursdays sport may focus on that

i'd presume they'd try and get maximum media exposure
