i know this but have not been told offically by the club, as a current football club member you would expect a letter of explaination from the the board and CEO.
To date i have recieved nothing.

I sent the club an e-mail about that and other things and I'm yet to get a reply, something tells me I won't get one.

If they can't send a letter to members to tell what is going on then i don't want to be a member anymore, basically they what members and they said at the elections that is was all about accountability and communicating so if they can't send a letter to current football club members stating what is happening and how to join as a blue blood etc then they are not going through with what they were voted in for.
Not everybody has internet access and knows to goto the website.
Bloody Hell, i'm only stating the obvious here.

I think people should feel entitled to raise things as points of discussion on here, if they feel like it... it's a discussion forum.

Maybe people just want to check if they are the only ones who haven't received something they were expecting, before making that suggested call to the club to enquire about it?

It's also been reported on here that the office staff are working hard/overtime processing memberships, so maybe instead of calling the club and taking up more of their time (and causing more delays), it's worth just writing things on here?

After all, we know that - especially during the elections - high up managers in the club would read these forums on a regular basis... so maybe "bitching about it on here" actually will get things happening quicker than calling the club and speaking to very busy reception staff?

Just a thought... personally I've never been a fan of suggesting that people not raise any issues they might have about our club on here for discussion by others - regardless of who happens to be in charge of our club at the time.

also, it appears that management appear to be focussing on restructuring the club at an administrative level...

I hear on the grapevine that was atleast 1 retrenchment made on Friday.

Hmm, I guess that might explain why you haven't got a reply when enquiring of these matters to the club?

I think there is some rule that there needs to be 21 days notice of the AGM to all members... so if it's in December, there's still time for that requirement to be met.

Not ideal though for people trying to save the date, in what is always a busy month. Most low-budget, low-staffed community organisations I know manage to have their AGM dates locked in and promoted well in advance of the required 21 days, because they know it helps to maximise their attendance.

Personally I think if changes have been made to the football club membership structures, then existing FC members should have been the first told, particuarly if you cant just join the FC for $25 or whatever it was?

No biggie to me, as I'm not an FC member( though I am now), but they should have been informed.

Oh, I also think there's nothing stopping members contacting the club, and thats what should happen.

If you're a member it's you're club, let 'em (ie the directors, not staff) know you're not happy and see what response you get.

Mate, if I was annoyed about this, I'd get in touch with a director. I'd email and if I never got a response I'd ring......then again I can be a pushy prick when I want to. :D

to be brutally honest, I'm not that annoyed by it at all, I only really brought it up because of the thread.

I probably should of just called them..
