U being serious?

It's a totally different thing all together.

The Football Club Membership has been thrown into another package, it's not like the Football Club Membership just went up in price from $25 to $70.

It's a whole lot more and totally different. To say it jumped by what ever percentage, please...

I guess we are not going to please everybody.

do they send out a reminder saying it is due for next year?

am I the only person who likes the new structure? I guess it caters to me better

I do recognise the criticisms being made and think those are things the club should address, because our armchair supporters are just as important to the club as the other kind

but in terms of people living in the Sydney metropolitan this is a pretty sweet arrangement and I have always found being an Eels supporter more affordable than the other clubs, not that I have ever supported any of the others, but I have looked into the way others structure it

Ummm, yes I am being serious, champ.

I believe it is a different thing, just not all together (sic) different as you claim. There are similarities.

I totally understand that the membership is now part of a new package. Hence my comment that our golf club cannot change the membership structure without a vote by the members.

I have never said that it jumped by a certain percentage, champ. I did however say that our golf club membership fees cannot increase by more than 10% per year. You're welcome.

Jodeci I fail to see the idiocy of my comments that you find so glaringly obvious. But then again I guess you can't educate everybody.

Idiocy?

Dont know where you got that from??? I was just saying it's totally non related that the fee went from $25 to $70 to be JUST a member of the Football Club.

You need to look at what your getting for an extra $45.

It is not like you are getting the same thing for $45 more.

The Blue Blood Pack delivers, (from the website http://www.parraeels.com.au/default....10-nonticketed)

• Membership card
• Members lanyard
• Members hat
• Members bumper sticker
• Members key ring
• Members cooler bag
• Members coaster set
• Members tattoo sheet
• 2009 Parramatta Eels Year Book
• $20 voucher for the BGA HQ (formerly Parra Footy Heaven)
• Discounted merchandise at BGA HQ
• Access to the Eels members only bar for ANZ Stadium home games
• Discounted tickets (15% off) to Eels home games*
• Discounted tickets to away games (subject to venue’s own terms and conditions)*

• Entry to the annual member’s forum
• Preferential buying windows for NRL Grand Final, NRL Final Series and State of Origin tickets*
• Invitation to attend members only events
• Opportunity to win exclusive members prizes at all home games
• PDRL membership (16 years and over)
• Pirtek Pages subscription (mailed out quarterly)
• Weekly e-newsletter subscription (e-mail address must be provided)

Now the BOLD areas are things the PDRL members already get, the Italics are things I believe that Bush people can use and are additional to the previous membership.

For many years listening to a state wide sports show, many "Bushies" complained about the preferential treatment given to Season Ticket Holders for Big games like the SOO series and the Grand Final. Indeed I have heard tell of Many "Bushies" that make a regular trip of it, but can not secure good tickets because those blasted STH's those City Slickers have gotten the best ones before you. With this addition to your membership, Bushies have the same shot as other members, via the phone or Internet to secure their tickets. I highlight the card in that as it will have your new member number on it.

The Exclusive prizes on game day are for non-ticketed members (last year) were posted out (they were a voucher at Wally Wynn's).

If the BGA Voucher can be redeemed on-line, you get access to exclusive merch via the BGA store, stuff you can't get at your regular sports store (Sorry Matters).

And if you do happen to make a weekend of it and come to Cumberland on a Sunday you get cheaper tickets if you plan ahead and you are a member. Or if you are in the Big Smoke on business for a game where the boys are playing away, you can walk up get cheaper tickets and sit with all the other Eels members who have made the trek.

yeah Jodeci, i see the value and will sign up.
I may use the BGA HQ voucher to get on of those awesome hoodies they had last year or just give to someone who would more likely use it.
What i don't need in the other stuff i'll give to the kids.
Just proud to be a Eel!

Now that's the spirit!!

I don't think these renewals will be all the doom and gloom that pete claims them to be.

so they send that to Footy Club members?

Normally they sent the Notice of AGM along with a letter that Memberships were due and gave you the option to renew. In effect they did that his year, but the membership form was for the Blue and Gold army, with the explanatory letter being for the move to a Blue Blood Pack.

Unfortunately the Brochure did not get sent the the 900 or so FC members.

so does that mean footy club members should have paid up again by now and if they haven't they'd have to re-join all over again?

No, this means FC members should have been budgeting to pay a membership due between now and the AGM or a little after that. Now their membership is rolled into their BGA Blue Blood pack and as such they need to file in the form to provide additional information. (like E-mail address)

I have never denied this. The $45 bucks is neither here nor there really for me and ive been looking for a cooler bag to hang off my golf buggy. But I do know a handful of people in larger families that may struggle to pay/prioritise/justify enough cash for each member of the family. I do know that they will have a bloody lot of coasters if they stay on board.

I was moreso passing comment that this would not be possible in my golf club. Nothing more...nothing less. It stops the possibility of the club board raising the membership fees overnight in order to increase its "exclusivity".
