Bread, everywhere I look there's bread.

Flying at me, from all directions.

Everytime I drive through Newcastle - bread.

I have not eaten a carb since August 20th, 2004.

I wake in a cold sweat, dreaming of bread being thrown into a sea of red & blue innocence. "STOP" I scream. "They're human beings!" But the bread keeps flying.

The bloke couldnt lock down a position at club level and they were picking him as NSW captain...f**king disgraceful. Bog average player who got by because he is super fit and last name is Gidley.

The worst kind of player.
Lacks talent to compete in the highest level, but trains his arse off so coaches love him and do dumb things like make him captain and pick him in rep teams because he has the right attitude and then tries too hard in games and completely f**ks it up by not staying within a limited defined role.

Which is surprising because his game and ability is fairly limited.

How is that the 'worst kind of player'? All that is the coach's and selector's fault, not the player's. Gidley goes alright when he's bench utility or back-up, it's when he's picked as first choice half, fullback, hooker/made captain of f**king NSW where he goes shit.
A player who trains his arse off and tries is hardest is an asset, it's up to the coach as to whether he plays him where he is needed or puts him in all sorts of ridiculous positions he isn't suited to.

Wayne Bennett made the big call of dumping King Wally from the Broncos....this call is looking even harder to make for some insane reason.
In all reality, Gidley should have been cut loose once they recruited Boyd to the Knights. Im sure Bennett knows he is shit, but cannot quite push him out the door.

Helps to have your brother running the club I guess.

I'd almost say the reverse is true. When he comes off the bench, he tries to do everything at 120%, when the reality is he is only capable of 80%, and so errors and f**k ups ensue.
