You argued he was good in 2016. Can't turn around and say he never did because he's at a different club now.

He did a job. He was the best option we had for 5/8th. He did miss plenty of tackles and tried the fancy stuff over just the basics.

Look at Kikau's 'off' games. Compare that to Bryce's game when the fancy stuff isn't working

Perception is funny MX. Happy for you to sit back remembering how things were. Let the rest of us deal with reality.

Bryce has been judged by his current coach, who was with us the last few years, as worthy of a few minutes game time last night.

Peach is gone. Good luck to him. He had some exceptional form in 2016 but otherwise we seemed to struggle where to play him.

I think we should let Mansour walk. I think we've already seen his best and the impact on the team now will be offset by the metres we're getting from Edwards. Use the Mansour cash elsewhere.

Re Cleary, it looks like you're going into your usual emotional hyperbole. We're all keen to keep him (I think). The debate has been whether Maloney should have more touches following his performance on Thursday night.

As for your reference to your deadset average current Panther, I assume you're continuing your Leota meltdown from the other night.

Yep no one wants Cleary gone. A few people have asked is he worth elite money yet.

I like to judge a player by how they go on off days. Cleary makes his tackles and has a reasonable kicking game always.

Unfortunately I think you are right about Mansour. Our forwards are starting to step up and he's starting to look redundant. He might need a sprint coach and some extra defencive work to make up his weak areas.

None of us like seeing favourites go. But if we keep players (in general, not just Mansour) for sentimental reasons instead of their contribution to the team, then we won't be winning comps.

This is the big point. In an ideal world we keep him and Peachey. Sadly the cap doesn't let that happen

Exactly! I'm sure both would want to remain at Penrith for the long term.

On the flip side, look who we have waiting in the the wings to fill the void - Luai, May, Crichton, Sivo, etc. All capable of making the step up if recent examples of junior players graduating to first grade are anything to go by.

U'20's and u18's are undefeated you would think over the next couple of seasons. Atleast 5 or 6 of them will develop into FGers. These are the 1st ones to benefit from the academy so hopefully a couple become elite players.

Bryce apologists everywhere!

Regardless of position, he just doesn't have the mental toughness for sustained success in first grade

George Jennings played his first match for Parra yesterday and first NRL match since 2015 when he debuted at Penrith. Scored a try. Can't say how he performed overall.
