Four Broncos cleared of sex assault allegations

My thoughts on the matter...
-Sharks fans have serious mental deficiencies
-IF, repeat IF, the only issue is the filming, then surely that is not rape. It might be something, but it is not rape. If this is the case, surely this could have been settled with a "please delete the video"

It's rape if she will have sex as long as it's not filmed and they film it.
Same as it's rape if she will have sex as long as the guy wears a condom and he doesn't.
Same as it's rape if she says I'll let you f**k me as long as it's not anal and he sticks it in her anus.

Bird should definitely not have been stood down. But the Broncos were crying foul before he was stood down and how if he was a Bronco he would have been stood down. And then applauding the Sharks decision when they did. So they can't have it both ways.

Hardly, all Brisbane said was the Sharks made a call based on the circumstances. I hardly see them jumping in the air applauding the decision!

How do you fit 3 or 4 blokes and a woman in a toilet cubicle and still have space to do anything ? I suspect it may have been the disabled toilets in which case they should be fined unless they were carrying an injury...........................................and the grubs should be stood down

Can anyone fill me in on the whole story, I've been away from media outlets for the past 4 days and don't feel like going through 27 pages.

You idiot. What rugby league needs less of is hanging judges like you taking the stupid moral high ground on unproven allegations.

Doesn't matter of it's allegations, charges - you are innocent until proven guilty. That's called a society, you moron.

hahahaha merkin stain 'innocent until proven guilty' is a legal cocnept not a societal one, if it were a societal one then bird wouldnt have been stood down, people would never jump to conclusions about 'alleged' things people have done be it footy players being drunk i.e. Tim Smith

politicians have been sacked because of 'alleged' incidents, the idea of innocent until proven guilty doesnt apply in the media and other aspects of society

Pierced R Soul,
You are full of shat, defending 3 very big man against allegations of group sexual abuse agnainst a female, but because of your petty hate against Bird are strident in your condemnation of him.
You are a hypocrite of the highest order, you should be an official of the NRL, you have all the lignorance and low class attributes!

are you geniused? i dont have a petty hate against bird like you claim everyone except you and rockin ronny has. my problem with bird was that he's been charged, he's blamed another person (who ahs a solid alibi) and he's lied to the club. but somehow you're too moronic to undertsand that.

i think you and rockin ronny are the ones sucking each off in the toilets

Bird's case is similar to Della Bosca & Neal, both were stood down from active ministerial & secretarial duties until an investigation into their actions was complete. Charges were then not laid and they have since returned to their portfolios respectively. Similarly, Bird has been stood down from playing duties by the Sharks until his case is heard in October. He has been charged so there is added cause there.

The three players in question are just that - being questioned and as such do not stand accused until the police establish the complete facts of the case - something the public seem unwilling to allow yet are happy to making a bucketload of assumptions on.

As someone said, Innocent until proven guilty is a legal concept that should always be abided by, and the trial-by-media nonsense which, in modern RL circles, was spawned by the 2002 Cap and 2004 Rape allegations agains the Bulldogs... well it's just plain disgusting how self-righteous such a germ of a newspaper (Tele in particular I'm referring to) can be.

And what part of Brisbane's history with player conduct has led you to this declaration? I'm interested, considering Brett Seymour was sacked for alcohol related incidents and subsequently signed by Cronulla.

Seymour is a 2nd rate player who couldn't even make the Sharks reserve grade side at one time.

Brisbane have been known as one of the strictest clubs in terms of player conduct, so I guess if you consider being harsher on players than most other clubs "playing their own rules", then you would be correct.

Yes the Broncos keep saying that. It's time for them to prove it, and actually cut a player who isn't just a fringe first grader. O'Neil is the only one, but he had a very long history before they finally cut him. True no clubs do. As the 2 page story in this mornings Courier Mail mentioned no clubs sack top-players, just the lesser first grade players and below. But no other clubs go on about how tough they are apart from the Broncos.

Unless they have a witness stating that the girl asked them to stop, there really is no legal case is there?

If you go back to a girls house, f**k her and mid-f**k she asks you to stop, you must stop. If you don't your a total prick and should be charged.

Legal concepts reflect society, pea brain.

Bird was stood donw due to knee-jerk reactions caused by media beatup and public furore carried on by people like you.

Also having sex in a public place is a crime. It happens a lot yes in pub toilets, but under the law they can be charged. So whether it is consensual or not they will still face the courts.

Alhambra's actually got really big toilets. Ironically last time I was there my mate said "Bloody hell they make those stalls for two or a really fat dude."
