Damn that got me curious so I went digging to find the most successful Warriors halves pairings. (Criteria = minimum 10 games played together)

Green/Johnson = 63% (played 16, won 10)
Maloney/Seymour = 60% (played 20, won 12)
Alexander/Jones = 57% (played 14, won 8)
Witt/Rovelli = 57% (played 30, won 17)
Simon/Jones = 56% (played 25, won 14)
Townsend/Johnson = 53% (played 34, won 18)
Hohaia/Jones = 51% (played 43, won 22)
Green/Nikorima = 50% (played 12, won 6)
Tony/Jones = 48% (played 21, won 10)
Ropati/Rovelli = 47% (played 19, won 9)
Maloney/Johnson = 45% (played 38, won 17)
Ngamu/Jones = 43% (played 51, won 22)
Fien/Jones = 40% (played 15, won 6)
Leuluai/Johnson = 40% (played 45, won 18)
Foran/Johnson = 38% (played 13, won 5)
Moon/Jones = 30% (played 10, won 3)
Beverley/Jones = 25% (played 12, won 3)
Endacott/Jones = 25% (played 12, won 3)

I guess the main highlight there is how few long-term halves pairings we've had over the years.
Yeah, strange that there are so few with a decent number of games, and those persevered with more Leuluai/Johson, Ngamu/Jones, and surprisingly Malnoney/Johnson (fixed as per Rich’s comment) have poor records...

I never understood why Alexander and Jones weren't used more, they kept shifting Brandy around, to accomodate the likes of Simon and Ngamu (might have my timing off with Simon) - which was bizarre, Ngamu was rubbish, and Simon had a couple of memorable games elsewhere but never delivered on his talent

What Poms have we had play for us? Betts, Platt, Tomkins...any others?

All failures

Platt and Tomkins were ok...but each touted as the best in the world.

Betts was too, but to my recollection he was just rubbish

Yeah, I actually went back and watched a highlights reel of Tomkin's time at the Warriors. Quite a few nice touches but just didnt live up to expectations.

I think that list shows the most is the changing role of the hooker the last 20 years and how much more important they are these days with the style they play
