Fox Panels Greatest Ever

Yeah I struggle with the NRL era... but Bailey was a terrific prop, as is a Graham in a different way, and Morely just insane...

Is Lazarus’ peak pre NRL? He’s the best on that list, no mistake... top 5 are all legit greats, and Bromwich heading that way

Thought the same with Lazarus, if he can get on this list then Renouf and ET should have been hanging around the centres list. There are plenty of guys that have had a purple patch longer than Lazarus’ in the NRL era that haven’t been mentioned, Mark O’Meley, Jason Cayless was huge for the Chooks during their early 2000a run, Brent Kite, George Burgess, Andrew Fifita are a few that spring to mind

Janes Graham is the big leave off, he has been outstanding for a long time and gets extra marks from me for taking a piece of Billy’s ear.

Interestingly looking at that list NSW haven’t had a topline front rower for 20 years

Peter Sterling’s top 5 halfbacks of the NRL era

1. Johns
2. Thurston
3. Cronk
4. Pearce
5. DCE
Sterling is the man...

But I’m still unsure what the nrl era is, 98 on. Top 3 are locks...
I know they both have premierships but Stacey, Kimmorley> Pearce and DCE...

Probably some others too... not sure, Gower, Prince worth a mention

Langer and Stuart could qualify but best days behind them in their final few seasons

Jones the stiffest to miss out. Aside from the guys you mentioned maybe Orford, Sherwin, Reynolds are others that have shone at times through the era

Taumalolo is better than Burgess IMO. Ask 100 people who they'd rather have in the team and how many would say Burgess?

For me the are slightly different styles, I’d probably be one of the Burgess brigade, simply because he is an intimating factor and can change games on both sides of the ball. Taumalolo is more damaging with the ball in hand but doesn’t have that aggressive mongrel in defence, which does have the benefit of not being suspended all the time !

IMHO Clyde is the best I’ve seen but that’s pre NRL... and different game...

Think the top 3 are right for this era, could debate the order but I’m happy enough... they are/were all monsters at their peak

Dont think anyone could really argue with Gordie at Number 1.

Would probably top my most feared player list too. Dont let the funny act on fox sports fool ya.

Thaiday is a typo, probably meant to be 33

Fletcher deserves a mention depending on what the NRL era actually is. And Luke Lewis says hello...
