I didn’t blame the club about Amone because his conduct was extreme.

But now we have fights and a domestic violence offence.

And it’s all adding up.

Whoever is in charge of the player welfare and trying to impart the knowledge of good behaviour, teach the dna, they should be sacked.

Too many players not caring for the club.

Penriths culture is ordinary, but they avoid the publicity.

The message some people are pushing is that the 3 incidents in quick succession is proof the culture is bad. I'm questioning how Amone can be related to club culture.

If 28 yo Molo doesn't already know that DV is bad, what could the club do? Again I don't understand how that is related to club culture.

The fight is the only thing really related, and who cares? Same thing happened with the Broncos last year, and numerous other clubs in the past.

We probably need to define what “club culture”means.

I don’t accept your comparison with other clubs argument, because two or more wrongs don’t make a right.

It doesn’t matter if every player from every club other than Sgi is in trouble, you guys will focus in on your lot and their standards, I think that’s right.

I’m more interested in why you have four first grade players who have IQs of gnats and what measures and steps can be taken to stop the rot.

Youre getting on to a third of the first grade side who don’t care less. You are a passionate club, it’s hurting people. Reasons are being sought.

I’m trying to propose solutions. A bit radical, but something has to change.

Everyone around the forum is thinking you will get the spoon. I think that’s a bit premature.

And we don’t want the pre-season used as an excuse.

Well
Both Mays, Clearly and Naden have been in legal trouble the last few years. Seems to be a culture problem at the Panthers
Tyrone and Naden are no longer at the club. Cleary did a Tic Tok..Taylan got cleared by the Police champ, but the NRL chose to give him a ban. But yep, DV and other related troubles at the Dragons seem much worse. Except you still can’t win games.

This Year?

Amone training is a total fiasco.

Guilty or innocent.

I think it’s time for a whole of club crisis meeting. Include paid members that want to attend.

Get the players close up to disillusioned members, sponsors etc so you guys can voice their expectations of player conduct going forward.

Not a big hate on the club, but the send the message to the players about accountability.

Youd probably have to go through a moderator with questions etc as it might turn ugly otherwise.

Because the messages now don’t seem to be working.

They are paid pretty well. They can front up.
Better yet they could make an appearance on "insight" on SBS or "Q&A" on ABC.
I can already picture the tweets on the newsbar and imagine the questions coming from the boomers and millenials in the audience.

Love your work❤️✔️😂

I suppose my point is to knock some sense into the playing group.

There’s minimal bad guys and it’s a shame the group needs to be lectured. But hopefully some peer pressure on the others.

They have let the club down.

I think we are way past asking them questions with all the incidents that have happened over the last few years. Its dismissal time, plain and simple.

Molo and Amone should be sacked. No argument from me.

And it’s costing the club a ton in lost opportunities and performances.

If they contracted with the club to have to pay some of that back when you engaged them, we’d soon see a “culture shift”

Maybe they could contribute a “good behaviour deposit” from their salaries which they lose if they are plead or are found guilty. 5%.

Anything is better than nothing towards a player sacking. It’s expensive.

Each year of good behaviour, 1% less.

End of contract, they get it back with bank interest. Like a super fund.

Players on factory contracts get a discount or can apply for “special circumstances.”

Taylan May was found guilty in court "champ". He wasn't cleared of anything. Out of the 2 clubs, yours is the only one with a guilty verdict so far

What about when only 3 players turn up to a clubs yearly presentation night.
That's when you know there's a problem.
There has been more than just 3 issues.
If you think the Management are doing a good job you are a half wit Maximus

At the end of the day "Culture" can be viewed as how much respect do the players show for the club, the coach, support staff, fellow players, their own families and the fans by the actions they take off the field...and the behaviour of many of our players starting with JDB, the notorious BBQ and escalating from there show they have very little respect for anything...that is what a bad culture is....

Yep, a broad application, many would agree with you.

You missed the high ranking Albert and his attempt to support a child sex offender on club letterhead without official approval.

To be fair to him, he said he was simply following Finches lawyers orders.

But that was the club supremo in action. The example set to all, the embodiment of your club.

I think people wanted him gone, but gee, what a way to go.

That might fit into your model?

He should have asked the clubs lawyers before issuing it. Followed process.

Bone heads both of them - both should be sacked...Rava was keen to join the group and they could have applied as a group to go on Australia's Got Talent as the "f**king Idiots" ..this club is a real joke...

So we've had players seeking a release.
3 out of 30 players turning up to the awards night.
Matt Cooper refusing to show up to the grand final reunion because of ill feelings to some of the board members.
Amone threatening and intimidating a tradie.
Molo getting done for domestic violence.
Players getting so drunk that they punched on and don't even remember it.

..,.and all this before the season has officially started but yeah nah there's no culture problem everything's peaches and cream.

Hope the boys start practicing their baking skills as they'll have a shiny brand new wooden spoon to use.
