Seems like the right thing to do.

He can complain about the refs judgment or a bad call. But to accuse a ref of deliberately manipulating a game is close to slander.

Dont pretend it is “starting a discussion”. It is just validating f*ckwit fans and setting a bad example for how to treat refs at the junior level

Amazingly, since Paris made these comments, we've had Cummins, Sutton and Atkins and received (I think) unquestionably fair treatment from all of them.

Interesting timing for his apology tweet, one could be forgiven for thinking there’s been just enough time for a legal letter to land on Mr Paris’ doorstep, and for his legal team to respond and agree to make an unreserved apology to prevent any further legal action.
