Anyways back on topic, I think the Single Female Lawyer episode is perhaps a subtle way of telling us the show won't end in a wrapped up way, it'll still be the same show we've watched over the years - Fry and Leela won't get together, bender will still be a stealer, Amy will still have a hopeless lovelife, Hermes will still be a jackass, Zoidberg will always be poor and the professor will still be... well alive. That's just my guess anyway.

It has come back from the dead before, but in my opinion, this will be the end of the line as the new episodes and 4 movies have been very woeful. The original run from 1999-2003 were the best episodes.

Except in the new episodes - they changed his character and made him unfunny, just like the new Homer Simpson.
