You mean their reserve grade side ?
not even remotely the same thing as a junior feeder team ... its a place to park the guys in their top 30 not playing NRL any weekend in the next level of the game & have a licensed club capable of footing the bill to run the team ( blacktown workers ) foot the bill. In return workers get their brand exposed & promoted. Its a commercial arrangement.
And anyway, we don't have a draft in the NRL so kids can trial for any club & be signed from anywhere including the panthers area.
The NRL and local district NRL clubs should look to halt these in-district clubs linking outside of the district NRL clubs

If we want a return to second division, thats where these clubs should be participating

There has been 3 attempts to rebuild second division
- Sydney Shield
- RMC/Jim Bean Cup
- NSW Cup

Time to be smarter rather than making 3 divisions

i think the other 2 comps outside of the NSW cup are played by guys who probably aren't going to make it but are too good for park football ,

I liked the old 3 grades NSWRL comps pre 1995
1sts
res
U23's

but understand those lower grade sides in the NRL set up are very expensive to run but i like an age limited 3rd grade comp with maybe a 4 over age player limit.
( probs all forwards )
idk .. its a pickle
& anyway , the Qlders have indicated they will strongly oppose any attempt to introduce any comps that harm their QLD cup comp

Remember pre 1995 there used to be

NSWRL First Division
FG / RG / U21 seniors with U19 / U17 / U15 juniors

Plus
Metro Cup Second Division
FG/ RG

Restructuring the NSW Cup will not effect the Qld Cup structures

Neither would establishing a NRL RG comp or NRLW comp

Rubbish , theres nothing stopping the 2 semi's being held in Sydney & Perth
& the final in Melbourne

There's nothing stopping it.

Having said that it is $1.01 IMO that Sydney gets the final and 1 semi, Brisbane the other semi.

QFs likely Sydney (SFS), Brisbane, Melbourne (etihad) and Perth.

I doubt MCG will host a single fixture.

Again , maybe

but if nothing is done with accor , then the MCG will not only host any game , it'll be the final & where the semi's are played will have no influence about it.

The roof line on the new sfs looks like it doesn’t extend far enough to offer adequate rain protection. I hope I’m wrong!

This is how it will go. IRB don't care about roofs on Accor

Its Australia, no stadium roof does here! I've been rained on at Suncorp, AAMI, Accor, Optus. Pretty much everywhere builds its drip line here ten rows back lol. Add in some wind and anything in first section is getting soaked.

Women's WC is in NSW. RU won't be different
and wallbies are playing a test at Optus this month. They will follow the $'s. If NSW Govt pays for it then yes it will be there, if they dont it wont. Look at how the RLWC here turned out when NSW govt wouldn't pay up. Its that simple.

Again why would they not pay? They will have 3 new stadiums by then. Accor which would of hosted the Womens WC final for soccer a few years earlier. Chosen by an equally money hungry Organisation purely on the fact it is rectangle

They may well do, but that's not the discussion lol. Its will they take the money and play wherever pays most or will they choose a rectangular stadium over the $'s. If NSW govt pays it will be at accor, if Vic govt pays it will be at mcg. Hell WA govt is totally cashed up so may throw more money at them than they can say no to.
They dont care the shape of the stadium. Especially given Accor is a semi oval anyway! Wherever its played will sell out so thats not a factor.

Maybe they don't but FIFA's criteria left only Accor as the only Final host

I doubt from a legal basis the NRL nor any club can stop them linking up. It would be classified as a restraint of trade and thrown out as it goes against the Australian Constitution.

You might have a point if .. if .. the IRB had any say in it & they don't. With the exception of the minimum requirements being met for the RWC stadia , after this the organising of the tournament is RA's show & they've stated .. publicly.. that accor in its present state is its numb 3 preference for the final after the MCG & Optus.

thems the facts

Ive said before if the NSW govts response to this is the same as yours , then the final is gone.
